On the Battlelog you just put in "OS" in the brackets, you don't need an invite or anything like that.

As far as actually playing along with other OSers?

You just need to hit up the PlayStation 4 OS Users PSN List thread and start sending out FR's.

This is going to sound strange, but I have to ask.

When you have a party going, are you OK with people joining without specifically getting an invitation? The reason I ask is I don't want to intrude on your game with other people. I've known some people that didn't like it when people joined their party without an invite (even if they didn't mark it as private).

I figured you were already in one, so no issues there. That was my first time venturing into hardcore and I did enjoy it. The game plays differently and requires a different approach on hardcore mode, but I can absolutely appreciate that -

That's very cool of you to ask, it usually fills up pretty quick nearing "prime time" gaming hours. Normally starts out with me and maybe one or two other guys and before you know it, we're 7 or 8 deep.

Pop right in anytime, especially if it isn't full.

At least we can then talk to you as you slaughter the guys in our squads lol.

Someone that usually doesn't play often with us but who's an OSer jumped in with us yesterday for a bit and it was nothing but good times.

You're probably referring to me. Again I apologize for the rusty performance. I had kind of found my groove a while back, then decided I wanted to try and level up my support / LMG's (I had to that point pretty much exclusively played Engineer), and boy did that drop my stats / skill big time in a short amount of time. So that kind of killed my desire to play a bit, coupled with the fact that I got hooked on The Last of Us and NBA 2K14. So, last night was my first foray back into the trenches in quite some time.

Hope to be on more frequently in the near future though. It was definitely more fun actually communicating with a team and coordinating. (Though, we were on foot a lot, which is definitely out of my element, but it was still fun, which I guess is the most important thing when it comes down to it.)

Love that there is a place for those of us that aren't all that good to be able to join a team and have a good time.

I need to do this so bad. Since Battlefield 2 Bad Company, I have really only had a couple of guys that I have played with regularly, and when you don't know people there is no communication. I am not really that good at playing lone wolf out there.

                  -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DICE has released patch notes for the latest Battlefield 4 patch on PS4.

                  Published on Jan 14, 2014

DICE continues to work on addressing issues with Battlefield 4 on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 and has announced that a new Battlefield 4 patch for PS4 will be available today.

"We are rolling out a new update for Battlefield 4 on PS4 in order to address some stability and balancing issues," said DICE in a post on Battlenet.
"You might need to restart the game to have the update install."
The list of issues that this new PS4 Battlefield 4 patch will fix are as follows:
                  • Various fixes for improving general stability
                  • Fixed flickering in map and minimap on Rouge Transmission and Operation Locker
                  • Fixed issue with player spawning under the map in Lancang Dam
                  • Increased damage by 25% for the Stealth Jet 20mm cannons
                  • Normalized repair rates across all vehicles. Vehicles with lower health points, like aircraft and transport vehicles, now repair more slowly than before
                  • Fixed a bug where the M1 Abrams Coaxial HMG ammo box was occasionally blocking the driver’s camera
                  • Fix for friendly marker not always showing when needed to, resulting in players shooting team members
                  • Fixed problem with killer health in kill card not being correctly updated (showing 100% health even though the soldier was hurt)
                  • EU Players: Fixed bug where game wouldn’t start when when the console was running in any of these languages: Japanese, Dutch, Portuguese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Czech, Brazilian Portuguese
                  • Fix for bug where it looked like soldier was dying with 1 health instead of 0
                  • Fixed a player feedback timing issue where blood was appearing before other damage indicators, and before damage was actually done
                  no weapon unloock bug fix?

U gotta be f***** kidding me

Yes you hehe, my bad. I was going to type "tribe guy" lol.

You're a cool dude, it was definitely fun having you in our group yesterday. We have a few "vehicle mostly" type players, just didn't have any last night. It switches up from night to night dependent on who's in the party.

Ha! No worries – I don't expect you all to remember a user name that has played with you guys one time!

Yeah, it was great running with that group last night. It wasn't so bad being on foot so much – there was a need for a support guy in most cases anyway. My numbers / scores may drop a bit, but I have no problem being the guy that drops ammo all over the place for the squad. I'll probably still switch to engi and hop in a tank now and again, especially if, say, we are trying to take a checkpoint and there is an enemy tank nearby, or just tons of infantry for the other team that I can try and help clear out a bit. On Paracel Storm, I usually try to hop in a boat with someone and switch between gunning / repairing.

That's the beauty of BF… you can always contribute in some way, even if your k/d is not great. That's the thing that has kept me interested in BF way more than I ever was with COD.

Sorry I haven't been on much the past week. Time is starting to crunch with end of year payroll and tax season is rolling in. Plus, Don't Starve is a bit addicting.
