I snipe a Hell of a lot, but I'm useful and enjoy it and in the end don't care if others don't like it and most of the time they are on the other team.

It's flattering when someone whats to destroy a fighter jet or a helicopter full of their own team-mates just to crash into me since it's the only way they can be sure I'm dead LOL

I do want to mix it up though and I'm finding it tough to choose the right class and weapon combo for close quarters. ... maybe close to medium-close ...
Any suggestions on a good package for that would be appreciated. For example at first some maps look like good sniper maps, but aren't at all. Zavod or whatever is only in spots, but most of the time it's not the best option at all. There is loads of cover and loads of opportunity to close distance and get into that close - medium range area that aint so hot for a sniper. I also really want to up my knifing, it's so satisfying but I only have about 30 kills like that total.

Flood zone is another one, once I was on a roof that could defend A and the gas-station and raked up 15 or so kills, but after that, being on the ground sniping isn't smart on that map.

Anyway, please share your close-quarters setups!

I have never had any issues with people that want to snipe as they can spot and make life easier for the infantry. If I am far from the action I usually just spot for my teammates to help them out. I am not greedy for my kills.

They should just create a mode for the game where one team of snipers lines up on a hill and the other team does the same, cause 60% of the games end up that way anyways. Yes - the 60% figure is completely arbitrary

They need to spot and laser target vehicles IMO. They also need to have a vantage point on an objective to defend in conquest. I see then in random spots at time trying to just get kills.

This is why class based games should have limits on the classes per team, so for battlefield, something like 10 per class. However given all modern shooters are developed to appeal to the lowest common denominator, and lone wolfs, anything that impedes the individual in order to promote team play is immediately discarded as a bad idea.

Quick questions

I play on Xbox 1.


With head sets can you actually hear people sneaking up and running behind you? Do the speakers actually pick up sounds that you otherwise would not hear?

Whats a decent one to get? I think the sound on this game is terrible. Tired of gettign shot in the back b/c I don't hear footsteps or some fool running around a corner or steps. Thats ridiculous and not realistic.

Any answers would be appreciated.

See and this is what makes me stay out of the large maps at times.

Sure i can kill them but i dont want to resort to playing like that having to do some off the wall crazy ish that i wouldnt normally do.
