Hehe I see what you did there B E.

I would suggest (and maybe you do this already) you employ the same type of strategy that my man Dan uses (no offense for using you as an example Dan).

RG used to do this as well back when he was playing BF4 with us on the regular (damn MMO took him away from us lol).

If your stick skills/twitch reflexes aren't quite up to par, sometimes it's a good move not to push too far forward towards an objective. Especially if you don't have lots of support alongside you.

Sit back and let the run n gun killers advance and clean up any stragglers you may find crossing your kill zone. It's a bit humbling but it's also good strategy because often you provide a great spawn point for others to get back into battle and continue pushing the objective. Cant tell you how many times I've gone in and killed 2 to 4 enemies then die only to spawn back on Dan and either he's already cleaned the leftovers up or I spawn on him and get the ones I couldn't finish off.

Make sure you are also slicing the pie when going around corners so you don't get caught. I can't tell you how many times I am getting hit running into a building and I make it inside and quickly hug the wall inside facing the door, only to see the enemy charging in after me lol, easy kill for me and frustration for the attacking enemy.

You and others probably already know this stuff, but it never hurts to throw it out there for fellow OSers that might not.

This is one of the most ridiculous comments I have read on here in a long time.
Maybe snipers should have their own game mode an call it "sniper wars",that way they can all lay prone and get that 8000m headshot and brag to all their friends...all the while not having to worry about going for the objectives.

The only way (imo) a sniper can be effective is if their playing aggressive recon and actually using the tools a sniper is provided to oh you know...HELP their team. e5 described it pretty good.

Can spotting help?...sure it can,but only to a degree,at some point the sniper is going to have to come out from their bush and attack an objective...but I very rarely kill a sniper at an objective....and why is that? because they don't want to move from their bush and contribute to the team.
People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.

Im in total agreement with this. I would say a solid 75% of my deaths come from snipers so I do hate them but when your actually playing objectives, they are just a minor inconvenience who does not change anything. As a habit I also check the score of every person that kills me, whenever its a sniper who kills me, they usually are no where near the top of the leader board.

That brings me to my next point, what the hell is the point of LMGs and PDWs? Compared to carbines, there is simply no reason to use them other than to just level them up. Im not trying to compare real life to battlefield but in real life LMGs are the most lethal weapon. They need a buff, I think the time it takes to raise the weapon to aim needs to be reduced and when crouch and prone, are much more accurate. In the right hands, LMGs can be very accurate, especially when firing 5-10 round bursts.

LMG's are criminally underrated. They have like 8x the suppression of AR bullets with a better damage curve. On average the LMG's outclass their AR ROF counterparts in bullet velocity as well. Just stop firing them on the move, they kill carbines 9 times out of 10 and can outgun Assaults when used right.

Also they have either 1x or .5x FSR, they are tap firing machines.

Weapon balance is fine IMO, and has been since launch. The only thing that is OP is the LVG on Metro/Locker. Even when the minis were super good, I didn't find myself getting killed more frequently with them than other grenades by a large margin

                    Re: Battlefield 4

I've had minimal complaints about weapon balance post-patch. The reduction of horizontal recoil on the M4 and M16 gave otherwise 90% pointless weapons that I used just because they were unpopular to a distinct advantage at range.

Really the only changes I can think of that I personally think are needed is a reversal of the L85 and M60 nerfs, a ROF increase for the G36C, a reduction of the horizontal recoil of the AUG, and maybe an LVG nerf. I think the M1014 and now post nerf DAO-12 may need a bit of help too.

After a couple if days playing I like aim assist off. More control over my shot. Makes me patient . Easier to shoot multiple enemies . But

1 on 1 close battles are hard as ****. It sucks cause sometime I'm like an inch off the guy and lose to ak12s, snipers, dmrs, light machine guns up close. Idk if suppressor makes things harder. I had to switch from the sg553 to the ace21 because it's easier to control.

Despite all that my KD is actually moving up and I'm getting twice as many kills.

So you call my comment ridiculous and respond with ridiculous statements and a bunch of inaccurate statements. Bravo.

I play aggressive recon but the only way a sniper can be effective is to play aggressive recon? False. Sniper spawns in places a spawn becon in an important section of the map and then goes to a good vantage point. The vantage point would provide a clear line of sight to an objective. From the vantage point the sniper proceeds to snipe, spot, and laser designate vehicles for engineers. This is not a an aggressive play style. Better yet the sniper player can pull out a MAV and light up the whole map with enemies. So spotting can help more than "just to a degree". A sniper does not have to come "out of his bush" if he does these things since he provided a pop good amount of support for his teammates to finish the job. So by saying "they don't want to move out of their bush to contribute to their team" is false and a spouts a generalization of a class.

Those are my two best LMGs (they are practically the same) but it just takes too damn long to bring the gun up to aim.

BF4 is my first experience with the franchise, and I was quite overwhelmed at first. I'm now starting to get the hang of it, learning how to play the classes correctly and support the team. I still have lots to learn, but I'm really enjoying it.
