Anyone here good with excel?

I'm having trouble with one small thing

In the all weapons sheet, I want to count the number of maxes that each player has with weapons.

So, if I have the most kills with the Mini, SW40, and UTS ONLY (hypothetical), I want the cell that calculates this to spit out "3". Or if I am the best with 10 weapons, it spits out 10.

I need this to be calculated in one single cell

For instance.

A B C
1 3 2
4 6 8
2 3 1
9 6 8
3 6 4

(Assume row 1 is A B C)

Now I want A7 to display 1 (only max is A5 in row 5) B7 to display 3 (maxes at B2 in row 2, B4 in row 4, B6 in row 6), and C7 to display 1 (max at C3 in Row 3)

You're going to have to use some sort of IF(MAX) formula.

But I think you have to use two different cells possibly on a blank worksheet.

The blank worksheet would contain the IF(MAX) formula.

And the cell result would contain an IF(COUNT) formula on the results of the IF(MAX) formula.

This is not doable with 31 players and 159 weapons. Doing it this way means I would have to have 159 different values to count individually for each individual player. No way I'm doing that

I need my formula to do if(B2=Max(B2:AE2), 1, 0)

But then do that same formula for every single row up to 159 and then sum the count of all the times that function was true in column B

There has to be a way. Have the function check each cell to see if it's the max of its row, then move on to the next row

Edit: Oh it's excel OK that's makes things both easier and more annoying. Do you have the sheet to download anywhere? It would be a fairly simple function to check all the top users in each gun and make a running total but would be resource intensive, as well as really clunky.

Edit2: How many guns are there in the game? Because that's how much copy pasting and editing your gonna probably need to do. The easiest way without enlisting the help of plugins would to create a MAX function for each gun and find the owner. Than use a counting function to retrieve all the max functions returning a specific value. This is why you don't want to do overly complex things in Excel it gets really annoying really fast.

How do you boost in BF4? I remember how people did it in COD and BF3. But I haven't heard of it in BF4 yet.

Joining my squad is how Koolies been doing it. Don't know if it's considered boosting. Pretty much just increasing his win percentage and skill by personally experiencing greatness in it's finest form. Pure finesse.

I solved the issue with something weird. Your count of weapon maxes are now in row 161 in ALLWEAPONS

A dammit I did it again. We were trying to sneak up to an MCOM so I told the squad to try and avoid killing anyone as we flank, and a blueberry in was shooting and died right in front of us. I then said something like "****ing blueberry gave our position away"


But it was mike.

And then he armed and blew up the MCOM.


Blueberry wasn't really a blueberry.
