I remember when the DMR's were really popular I would get pissed and talk junk about guys who used them...

That's a question better suited for ND.

I like the Scar, Ace, and M39.

Any and all DMR's should be used with the Angled grip because of the semi auto fire.

ND, I would like to see your suggestions as well as all the attachments you use.

I really think it's all about what DMR feels best for you. I'm very comfortable with the ACE 53 and I have like a 25% accuracy with it. I go for maximum accuracy with DMR so I use the JGM-4 [4X] with a heavy barrel and potato grip. With these settings I have 84 accuracy and 60 range on the DMR. I give up some stability so I can have the additional accuracy for times when I'm shooting at guys from a medium range distance. I like the ACE because of the large magazine capacity (25+1).

I don't really focus on trying to headshot guys. I aim for the body and it's only 3 shots to take them down. If you headshot it's only two.

I tried the M39 and I just didn't like it. The big thing for me was not having the JGM-4 scope unlocked. That's my go-to 4x scope and I just don't feel good using the others.

I'd like to get that scope on the M39 as with a heavy barrel it has 100 accuracy...yep 100. You take a hit to magazine capacity though.

Good stuff ND, I'd definitely like to think of you as our resident DMR expert.

I'll give the Ace another go, I think I have those attachments unlocked. I'm used to being top 3 in kills but lately since I'm trying to become more proficient with DMRs my kill count has taken a hit.

I'm going to stick with it though.

Yea, that might be a good strategy for you Brandon. I am used to running and gunning and getting in people's faces. That's why DMRs have been hard on me.

I did notice you can sit back far from the fray and pick off enemies you'll see trying to flank your teammates.

I like the DMR with the Engineer class because to truly take out these vehicles I need to be outside of that "hot zone". My go-to rocket launcher in the Javelin and it has a 350m range. I can't take out these vehicles in CQC. I strategically put my slams out there and then try to take out vehicles when I can.

I've gotten comfortable with the DMR to the point I can be somewhat effective in closer ranges. I know how the gun reacts to firing quickly and am able to adjust and get some kills up close.

Assault & support I wouldn't use a DMR. I could use it as a recon and be effective as I'm not a great sniper. Ideally though, Engineer is where it's at for the DMR.

I won't have the huge kills number but I try to get my points from taking out vehicles and capping objectives. Taking out vehicles is an easy way to get some serious points.

That's why this game is awesome. We can all have our niche and help the team. You don't have to be the rambo aka rez of the team and go in there and get 40 kills per game to have a huge impact.

Also want to add that this game has a huge learning curve. It took me many many hours to become competent and understand how to play the game to be effective. I didn't play BF3 and when I started my K/D was around 0.50. I hated playing against vehicles because I didn't know how to take them out and I just constantly got destroyed by everything and everyone. It was a very humbling start to my BF4 career.
