Speaking of DMRs, what is a good one to use?

MK11 MOD all the way with me. It just klicked more than other guns and now that I have it tricked out it's become a decent gun. I have 16% accuracy with it and mostly aim for the chest because I'm more aggressive when using it with the engineer class. I find I just drop guys better with it than the others, right now I'm at .60 kpm which is pretty good for me. I like it for medium range. I think I have just a red dot and maybe a 2x attach, although I've fiddled with the 4x options.

I"m like you though and do better on the outskirts than right in the middle. I throw slams down on water maps and have gone back to mines for more land since it takes out vehicles much faster. And I will switch between RPG and Stinger depending on how big the air threat is and distance to potential targets. I find choppers to be the single biggest threat in the game to me, the guys who are good with them are mind-blowing how sergical they are.

Have you unlocked the Stinger yet?

Because if you have it, you'll be able to destroy aircraft like it's going out of style.

Also, if you have someone with defibs behind you, you can actually shoot the repair tool flame into the sky and burn choppers

at first I felt like that, but choppers that are paying attention to those trying to bring them down can kick your arse! It takes 3 hits from a stinger to take down a chopper - 3! it's great if it's already damaged or taking damage, but if you're on a rooftop and don't have cover a good chopper will kill you so easily. Flood and lancing come to mind. That's why rpg's are so good, but only closer to the choppers and even then if you miss, you're dead.

I don't think it's unbalanced, but agile choppers with lots of fire-power are killers. Everytime there is one on the other team, he's always at the top of the leaderboard at the end it's crazy.

I find that there are a lot of engineers on both teams, but a lot of them don't do stingers or just ignore aircraft. And I would say most people don't spot.

Spawn in with AA mines in your loadout, lay them where you plan to be then either when you die or choose to redeploy, bring a Stinger. You'll have 2 AA mines and your Stinger.

Yep, you can bring down several like this, it's just kinda a pain in the butt to waste so much energy on birds.

Finished today 12-0 overall, 9-0 with OSers. Sounds like y'all had some issues once I left for about 90 minutes. Like I always say, I'm not saying I'm the sole entire reason for when we win, but I'm not not saying it either.......
