Same here. Fired up BF4 for the first time in over 2 months last night. Actually had some fun, on the Dragon's Teeth maps.

Yeah that happened to me a few times too. Hasn't happened recently though.


On an unrelated note this is the kind of stuff that pisses me off about the game in general. The last dude I hit with a shot gun....direct headshot....STILL WALKS!!!! LOL I walked away from him after I took the shot cuz I knew it's no way he was going to survive a shot like that. Stuff like this makes you throw a controller across the room

Watch the pellets not where your gun is pointed. The cone went clean right so you only hit him with about half the shell (Also headshots do 1x damage but that's not the point). Shotguns have spread like other guns that is really bad when hipfring on the move.

I watched it frame by frame in Sony vegas. The sounds of the shot gun started while his head was dead center of the cone. The actual blast fire animation started and finished all while his head was in the middle of the cone. The hit marker appeared few frames later and it was then, his head was right of the cone.

I know you're just trying to explain the 1's & 0's of how the game works, but even if you were right, how can you justify a dude catching half a shotgun blast to his face still walking around shooting back at me?

I only have been playing conquest small on Dragon's teeth but it has been very smooth. Can't comment on the other modes.

Yes the framerate is terrible as well. Runs poorly for me when playing conquest 64 player. Was using a burst gun and it was a nightmare playing in those conditons.

Was playing battlefield last night after playing Titanfall and I caught myself trying to run up walls and jump climb buildings

I do the same thing if I try playing another fp shooter, I try to spot/mark enemies lol.

Yeah..ive done that too when playing titanfall. I spam the "R1" button a lot when I go from Battlefield to titanfall.

I don't deny it's nonsensical but at least my non ability to slow it down it looks like to me you only hit him with about 7-9 pellets (Which should kill him anyway, even with body armor I think). I don't run shotguns very often except my SIAGA-12 because they're too inconstant. It's been the same problem in BF games since I started in the BC2 days.

The whole hit reg is broken right now for pretty much everything and if shotgun mechanics worked logically they'd actually be some of the best weapons to use when it's laggy, sadly that's a no though. I hope the next patch can fix what went wrong in July.

I've been doing this for 3 years now. It's so bad that I've gone and played PC shooters like Doom and looked for a spot key.
