Couldnt take advantage of the magnific premium discount offer, as I didnt have the money. Hope some of you guys could.


On another note, my bad skills, coupled with some bad teams (extremely bad, same skill as me and worse, full of snipers), a bit of lag and a bit of bad luck made my winning % drop to 65% or so.

Still struggling to kill people, specialy in close quarters ... in medium to long rage I can somewhat suceed thus my bullets seem to lack power as I get hitmarkers but dont get the kills and sometimes dont get assist either. Some advices on weapons, loadouts and kits ?

Found out that Rush is also addictive, thus there are a few maps that are leaned to much into either attackers or defenders to an almost frustrating level ... then again, when you do get to overcome the odds, its a such a great feeling. If only there were, on base game (not premium), some random mode quick match option.

Dont like, at least for the moment, the hardcore version ... with such huge maps, such amount of snipers and campers and with my still little experience, is a torture to play ... it also takes away the team approach as you cant spot.

To change weapons, when you are on the spawn screen (the birds eye view of the map with the objectives, etc) up on the top has all the classes with the loadouts for each one. To change classes, R1 and L1 move your highlight back and forth. To edit the loadouts, have that loadout highlighted and press square. In that screen, pressing X with give you the option to change weapon, gadget, etc. Pressing square will allow you to edit what you have selected, such as adding a scope or whatever.

I think that covers it, hope it helps. If I got something wrong, I apologize, going from memory.

Edit: The items in the battlepacks should automatically be added to your available gadgets and accessories, just sometimes they are for a specific weapon and need to unlock the weapon before you can use it. Also something that took me awhile to realize was make sure to use your XP boosts that come in the battlepacks. In game, press Options, then square (I think) and then select the boost. Its on the bottom of the screen.

Thanks, just found out about changing weapons thus didnt know about the boosts, but find it weird that you can only do it then as it takes time away from the action ... you should also pre set them on the my soldier screen.

Hehehe ... and yet, being on the PS4, I have found that the few I have added as friends dont play it, at least not as regulary anymore.

Would suggest you to post every week or two asking for the gamertags and also, go through the friend list of someone you added that has the game and from there add those who seem to have the game and play regulary, I did that yesterday and hope to have the luck to be accepted by those I sent invites.

If you ever come to the dark side, PS4, please add me, same tag as here.

I came from the COD side of life and this game is so much different...I had several 1-20, 4-25 games initially.

I realized that I need to put myself in leverage situations; not camping (too impatient to stay in one spot as it is!) but rather listen to the clues around me and watch the mini map constantly...so if I see a dead teammate around the corner, hear footsteps/voices, etc. then put myself in a place where I can get the upperhand. That and knowing the mechanics of the gun I'm using and its strengths/weaknesses.

My favorite setup is playing as an aggressive recon with a carbine, TUGS and beacon. When we're starting to lose flags (conquest), I can setup a beacon on the enemy side's "gimmy" flag and try to make them retreat so we can push back.

Another great reason for Xbox one users to get EA Access is that the DLC is free along with the entire game!

I checked last night and they are not free. I guess that was a promotional deal

I am on Xbox One, and I don't think it is worth it. The main maps work just fine. I would probably pick it up if there was a really good deal.

I've been playing BF4 since launch (well, off and on), and I've almost never seen playlists that mix up the primary maps and the DLC maps. Unfortunate as I'd like to play both without having to exit a server and find another. Plus if you want to play the DLC, that's only 4 maps on that particular server as DLCs aren't usually combined. Really sort of an odd way they have configured the multiplayer, but it seems EA is content with renting out most of their servers - probably for financial reasons. They don't receive any income from hosting their own official servers.

I checked last night, they are not free anymore. They in Jan and Feb, we missed it

I tried to play yesterday. There was hardly anybody on(most of the servers we empty or light.), even with the new guns and game mode(gun master), what a shame...

I have never ran into that issue before. Everyime I hop on, there is plenty of games going on. Weird.
