I just purchased BF4 for PS4. I am also looking for fellow OSers to play with. Should I purchase the premium season pass for $49.99 or no? I plan on playing until the next BF comes out.

if you plan on playing a bunch and want the dlc maps/weapons without paying for them separately. I have it myself and I don't regret it or anything. But I don't think you get the weekly battlepacks cuz the year is over.

Its really a personal decision- do you like playing a bunch of different sceneries or is a handful enough. (I really only play a couple maps)

I've only played 99 hours and I'm sure some others will be more helpful than me, but maybe I helped some.

I throw out flares and sometimes use a flashlight . I've known about that combo since the game released

Was playing in a FEAR server and those guys...let me tell ya. Got tired of their shenanigans so when we played locker I packed the flare and sniper Class with a carbine. Would throw a flare in the room to blind them from their optics, then throw c4 in the room...that usually cans about three, then come clean their butt up with the carbine. If one would pass me...I had a claymore waiting in the main funnel...needless to say the clan banned me from their server but boy, despite feel good to do onto others what they always do to you.

Ive played night maps in other shooters but this is ridiculous definitely were not as dark as this ...So no not what i was really expecting.


Heck frostfire and Nightstalker from the Socom games,were 2 of my fav maps EVER. No wonder this was free

I really enjoyed the night maps, vehicles are your friend. Also make good use of different gadgets.

There are some things I would recommenced TV wise to enhance the quality but overall...I would emphasize that the point of the night map here is to hinder normal gunfights as it should be. Getting in a gun fight at night is not an easy task as thats why in real time combat units utilize NODS with PEQ and IR torches to tactically "light up" a target in order to engage. Just saying there is an actual tactical side to the night maps you might want to consider if you havent already.

I love that night map. I put on my night vision scope and my green laser to blind those using certain scopes.

I find myself playing much more cautiously and making sure I'm with my squad or someone if possible. Spotting is key. Take it wide, spot, then attack.

Def can't run and gun as much as day time. But I really enjoy the variation. And, it finally gives me a reason to use night vision scope or my thermals.

I use the flashlight and map the button so I can quickly turn it on and off

You can turn on and off the laser just like the flashlight. So when a sniper is on your *** from 100 yards in the dark, I assume they are either thermal or night vision scoping me. So I flash on the green laser quickly right at them to blind them quickly, THEN I RUN LIKE HELL TO COVER.

Then behind cover, I'll ultimately die because I suck. But, I got away........for a second.

Funny, just on the battlefield forums and reading how everyone turns up their brightness and contrast settings to make the map more day time. That's weak!

Yeah wish there was a way devs could force your tv/brightness settings so you couldn't be a clown and increase it to where the night maps weren't night.

That's been a problem with every night time map in every game.
