Re: Battlefield 4
I've been playing since whatever hiccup happened
I'm going to wait until they release a patch to make it a legitimate full version game. There is just so much more wrong than there is right with this game right now-- RPG goes through the window of the helicopter, helicopter reacts by moving nose up but no explosion. And in what world does an inflatable boat take 3 RPGs to blow up? In BF4 world.Last edited by av7; 10-31-2013, 07:09 AM.Aaron

Re: Battlefield 4
This pretty much sums up why I'm holding off getting BF4 till its out of beta state. The BF3 release was in a similar state when it was released and it literally took three months of patches till I could even play it without it locking up my system. To this day I still get random crashes on BF3. I really want to play BF4 but my experience was so terrible the first couple of months of BF3 that I'm not willing to deal with it again.I've been playing since whatever hiccup happened

I had the same problem. Then I did this and it's been working fine since.

Re: Battlefield 4
Downloaded this on PC last night. I played through the campaign because the sporting distraction on TV wasn't going to allow me to concentrate on multi-player.
I have to tell you that campaign was terrible. I know BF is not about single-player but why even throw it in there if it was going to be that bad?
It might have been the worst FPS single player campaign I ever played. I wasn't looking for the campaign to wow me or anything like that. If I played through it and nothing stuck out to me I would have been fine. This campaign stuck out in all the bad ways.
If you are looking to buy this game for single player only. Please wait for a discount, a huge discount. It took me about 4 hours with interruptions to complete it.
The biggest wtf moment for me:SpoilerThe end of the prison level. I was expecting to be stranded in the snow. No water, no food, freezing cold standing by the fire. Cut scene...we are in a jeep in what seems like a lush jungle/urban environment? The girl says, "We need to find food and water soon." I kept laughing, saying well you are out of the snow and you found a jeep with fuel. So you are doing fine so far.Comment

Re: Battlefield 4
4 Hours is pretty weak, even by Battlefield's standards. I expected it to be somewhat impressive considering the time they had to put into it and I thought Battlefied 3's campaign was decent.
My biggest concern with the campaign was that they were going to put so much effort into showing off Frostbite 3 that they skimped on the story.
We all know I'm a Battlefield MP nut and it won't stop me from purchasing, but I still like a decent campaign with my shooters.Comment

Re: Battlefield 4
I haven't touched the campaign, I'll just wait for PS4 for that.
I had a "sick" day yesterday, so I played a lot of BF4 before I headed to the golf course. As far as the multiplayer, I'm really liking this game. I don't like the new vehicle controls and need to find out what will work best for me as I haven't really experimented yet. I've been trying to level up so I can try some of the different guns and other equipment.
I really like Defuse. That is a pretty fun game mode, it's a lot like Squad Rush from BF3. There are no respawns and you are trying to plant a bomb. The difference is only one person on your team can plant the bomb and if he is killed the bomb is dropped and then the enemy knows where it is. I played with a squad (5 man squads in BF4) yesterday where we all had mics and everyone communicated and we won every game we played. It was a thing of beauty. I love the communication part.
I have not played any Conquest or Obliteration yet. I liked Obliteration on the beta, so I'm glad there are other game modes to play other than Rush and Conquest. I am a Rush player and didn't love Conquest on BF3, however with 64 player matches on next-gen, Conquest may be really fun.
This is a very good game in my opinion. Most of the buildings and structures can be destroyed, even things I didn't expect. I've not seen any of the big Levolution events yet, but I've not played all the maps I don't think. I'm pretty sure the PS4 OS crowd is going to have a really good time with this game. I'm looking forward to it.PSN: Koolie_G
