      Re: Battlefield 4

After watching gameplay from COD last night I decided to go grab BF4 instead. Only enough money for one of the two right now. I'm glad I got BF4 because I really enjoyed it. I'm not very good at it, but I still have a lot of fun. Sniping is great on this game. Favorite maps thus far are Golmud Railway, Seige of Shanghai, and Operation Locker.

      MLB: Pittsburgh Pirates, Colorado Rockies
      NBA: Denver Nuggets

I don't even think I've played all the maps as of yet, but I've enjoyed Zavod 311 and Golmud Railway quite a bit.

I like parcel....still compared to BF3 maps these map designs dont seem as good as BF3.

Metro, Back to kirkland , siene crossing, grand bazzar were CLASSICS imo.

this game has no map no where evene close to those levels

I have never played Battlefield before, but plan on getting this on XBOX 1.

My only issue is that I do not have bunch of friends that play. Is this game fun to just play by yourself? The nice thing about COD is I can just sit down and play by myself without being in a party and still have fun.

I think COD has done the biggest favor to Battlefield in this department. A lot of randoms that completely ignore strategy and objective based gameplay pick up COD and while there always will be players that don't play with strategy or an objective in mind it seems like more of them flock to COD so Battlefield plays well even if you jump on a map with a bunch of randoms. I have one guy on my friends list that I play Battlefield with and we usually just jump around playing with random people but most of the time I just play solo and there is no issue.

I'm just going to say there are plenty of modes that you dont need a party to enjoy.

Thats the beauty of this game there is something for everyone in it

Fortunately an updated Operation Metro is in one of the expansions. It looked like it had an elevator and light switches during the brief preview I saw.

Wait...So if I do this, when I die the grenade will go off?

                  * You can actually hold a grenade with the pin pulled indefinitely. You can even put it away (without blowing your face off) by switching weapons while you have the pin pulled. Simply press the grenade throw button and then hold the fire button once the animation starts. Your soldier will stick his hand out like he's posing for the Highsman. Jumping will cause you to throw it, but having the pin pulled decreases the time needed to throw, although sprint is disabled.

                  * Also, this creates a dead man grenade as it drops at your feet if you die. Good for holding points or M-COMs.

It'll drop at your feet and go off a few seconds later, yes. Doesn't go off right when you die.

I have no idea what it is with my shooting, but I can't hit anything. I had a round last night in TDM and I went 1-15. I swear I was aiming right at guys and hardly any hit detections.

I wasn't a huge fan of most of the BF3 maps, TBH. Metro was probably my favorite just because it was always so intense and it didn't make a difference which mode you played. Damavand Peak was great for Rush, largely because of the one base-jumping section which was one of the coolest gaming moments for me ever.

I think a lot of the maps were just too large for the PS3 to handle. I imagine with 64 players the experience would be a lot more interesting. Out of all the expansion maps I like Riverside and Epicenter the most, but I admit I didn't play a ton of any of those expansion maps after the first Back to Karkand expansion.

Caspian Border was my favorite for some reason. I can shut my eyes and play that map.
