What are some good puzzle games (PS2 or XBOX)
My gf just not told me that she like puzzle games and asked me if I had tetris. well I HATE TETRIS so thats a no go. What are some good puzzle games on ethier system you think she might like. I've been wanting to get her Silent Hill since she loves scary movies but it'll probably be to complicated for her.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Tags: None -

That's a toughie....puzzle games aren't really available in abundance. The only thing I could suggest, although it's probably not what you're looking for, is Prince of Persia. I've been having a blast solving the puzzles in that game - but it's not really a puzzle game in the way you were requesting. There have been some good puzzles so far....but that's also intermixed with fighting, etc. In any case, if you don't get it for your gf, get it for yourself, it's amazing. -

This is so my gf would pick up a controller. She hates video games. And I dont wanna get her something where she has to fight or shoot anything. I was considering getting her Bust-a-move since that seems like the only good puzzle game I've seen.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

Re: What are some good puzzle games (PS2 or XBOX)
I gotcha.....that's a tough one. My girlfriends not really into the whole gaming thing either, although she liked Mario Bros and simple games like that growing up - she is nice enough to feign some excitement when I'm all excited for a new game though, and she'll sit down and play with me if I've just gotten something I like alot. I've found that my girlfriend's not really going to really get into gaming as a hobby or anything (fine by me), but that sometimes there are certain parts she likes. When I got MVP Baseball 2004, one thing my girlfriend really did like was the HomeRun Derby. Why? Probably because a) it was simple and easy to play, b) you could play a few rounds of it in 10 minutes, and c) we could play it together and basically instantaneously be on the same skill level, because all that was required was timing and one-button press. So maybe if you could find something like that, you might be able to ease your girlfriend into games. As for making a gamer out of her, I dunno.
I also don't really have any great recommendations. Like I said, maybe start with something that a) you can play together, b) you can play quickly, and c) don't involve complicated button combos or quick multiple responses. And yeah, it helps if your gf's interested in the substance of the game too, but that's hard also. The only things that immediately come to mind, besides sports mini-games, are maybe board games or tv-show games (wheel of fortune, jeopardy) - I don't know if these even exist for XBOX, maybe for PS2. If your gf's at all interested in Tennis, maybe Top Spin would work? You can play it pretty simply to begin with. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know. Maybe check at one of the review sites for puzzle games or something.Comment

Re: What are some good puzzle games (PS2 or XBOX)
I hate to say it, but with a gf, you need a gamecube. :> Purple preferably. It has probably 90% of the gf friendly games--its got the market cornered, lol. For some reason, girls won't play games on the ps2 or xbox, but if you have the exact same game on the gamecube they'll be all over it, lol. To them, nintendo = fun.
