    Re: Rage Much?!?

Speaking of mistakenly thinking my mic was off when it wasn't. Last night playing BLOPS2 online, my two year old daughter walks in while I'm in a pre game lobby. She had managed to get one of my 5 year old sons shirts on over hers. So here I am, telling her how cute and silly she is, and the guys in the lobby start laughing. It was then that I realized my mic was on .

Anyways, I don't rage much anymore. I used to get mad as hell at BLOPS2, but since taking a break from it and not taking it as seriously anymore, I just roll with the punches. If I get upset at all, I finish out the match, then just turn the machine off and do something productive. Better than being mad at a game.

        Re: Rage Much?!?

I never understood the whole rage thing because of video games. I take my video games seriously but usually if its not typing my way or something silly happens I just get frustrated, say something under my breath and move on. If it keeps frustrating me I just turn of the game and move on to other things.

Not to mention games or controllers aren't cheap.

          Re: Rage Much?!?

There are definitely time when I want to rage out, especially in NHL when the CPU is doing something dumb, like scoring on our own goalie. Worst moment was after a playoff loss, I slammed down my Turtle Beach headset, and snapped one of the ear pieces off.

For me personally, I don't know what it is that brings that side out in me. In every other aspect of my life, I'm about as laid back as they come. You'd never see me even yell let alone throw things. But put me in front of a tv and hand me a controller and when BS continues to happen.. The devil comes out. Lol.

As I said, though, I've gotten a hell of a lot better. I haven't broken anything in years now, aside from my headset. Mainly because I don't take games even close to as serious as I once did.

A pixelated Jason Terry from NBA 2K11, is the reason for my broken white controller, he just could not hit one crucial three pointer against Miami in the series.

Not One!! This was online of course with my friend.

I once broke an NES controller when I was like 11. Been a while.

I usually do a good job in controlling my temper when I get frustrated in games, but occasionally I do lose it and slam the side of the couch.....lol

Someone posted this a while back in a MK forum....You talk about rage.....man those controllers and games are too expensive to be doing this

Maybe it's because I'm a poor college student, and buying a new Xbox controller is like cutting open a vein, but I couldn't fathom throwing one of those things.

There are softer things around, like pillows, to throw/punch if I get really riled up

I can't say how I don't pay for a new controller whenever I break one.

I haven't broken one in over a year, but whenever I did.. I didn't pay for them. Well, technically I paid for them and got my money back.

I don't recall ever breaking anything. I usually just punch a pillow, and even that has become more rare as I've gotten older.

I've seen broken controllers and pictures of knuckle marks on walls. I think these little fits are cute. But come at a price.
