    Blizzard Security Breach

This week, our security team found an unauthorized and illegal access into our internal network here at Blizzard. We quickly took steps to close off this access and began working with law enforcement and security experts to investigate what happened.

At this time, we’ve found no evidence that financial information such as credit cards, billing addresses, or real names were compromised. Our investigation is ongoing, but so far nothing suggests that these pieces of information have been accessed.
Just a heads up for some people.

Thanks CMan. Half of my gaming time since 2000 has been locked into that company.

At least they were quick to notify people. Some companies take a few weeks to get information out and it seems Blizzard sent it out the week it happened.

With the kind of people who play games they make (not generalizing, just talking about the extremes), I'm surprised it hadn't happened sooner. I bet there are some real whizzes out there who know exactly how to do what was done here.
