    JoyToKey - for PC gaming

Did a search here and didn't see anything for this. I didn't know how many guys know about this little stand alone program for your PC. It takes your existing gamepad and configures it to understand keyboard AND mouse commands. So if your game is older and had utilized only keyboard commands, but you always wanted to play it with gamepad, now you can. It also takes existing games that struggle with assigning keys and gives you the chance to now customize your gamepad layout however you want it.

I've had ver. 3.7.4 for quite a while, so it looks like there won't be any further development, not that it's really needed. It can save an infinite number of configurations. It's easily discarded if you don't like it.

    It's definitely a must-have program.

I use it on probably 1/4 of all my PC games.

Absolutely jyoung. The only slight glitch in it is for the vertical mouse movement (how responsive a given axis speed is, 1 through 50). The author has the positive and negative transposed when you click on it to configure it, as pictured. Not a biggie though.

Others may be well aware of this, but there's a new version of JoyToKey available. Here was the link I discovered (direct download):

Is this much different than XPadder? That's what I use.

I don't know. Other than Xpadder is $10 and JoyToKey is free.

But if you think that Xpadder is a better version, I'm all for it and should link those who don't know about it. I'm gonna give it a shot. Thanks.

Don't know which is better since I never used JoyToKey, but XPadder works great.

I think Xpadder is probably slicker with the UI, but JTK works fine as long as you don't mind the developer looking interface. I bought the Bioshock $5 special from GameFly and was disappointed that it had only keyboard or Xbox 360 PC controller support, so had to do something.
