Me and my old many talking about picking this up. Looks like a bigger version of Battlefield 3 or like someone else said 2142 which I loved!!!

Any OS thoughts on how you rank this?

It's been a great month or so with this game. I've been playing with a group over teamspeak and been involved in some awesome teamwork captures and overall good times.

Some concerns over the longevity of the game because points are captured and merely exchanged, almost like nothing really is being fought for. Since there are no rounds ending you are basically playing to unlock certs for more weapons and vehicle upgrades (there are tons!).

It is free to play so there is definitely nothing holding you back from trying it. I would recommend watching some Youtube vids as a tutorial because currently the devs don't have a tutorial mode.

I finally upgraded my CPU and am able to play this game again (I missed it dearly). I will be jumping back into it as much as I can (Smiley19791, on the Waterson server). If anyone wants to join a squad (especially if you're new and unfamiliar with the series), let me know. I have been showing some of my friends all of the different nuances of the game.

If you have the rig to get at least 30 FPS hell ya it is. Nothing else can give you 200 on 200+ battles. It's completely nuts. Just try and join one of the noob friendly outfits on your team and make sure to listen to your squad leaders and it's probably the best game out there right now. I love it even though I'm running at 20 FPS half of the time which is why I've been mostly waiting on the PS4 version.

Edit: Also don't run the game through Steam. The overlay causes about a 7-10 FPS drop in a game that already struggles on great computers.

I think you can just grab the launchpad from Planetside2.com and verify the assets.

PlanetSide 2 will be getting a new continent in May alongside a host of other new content.

A roadmap posted on the shooter's site reveals just what upcoming features will be making their way into the MMO, and when.


The most interesting changes include updates to Outfit recruiting designed to make finding people to play with that much easier, Continent Locking, and the ability to own a base should your Outfit have played the biggest role in capturing it.

The new continent, Hossin, is a swamp-covered landmass tentatively set to debut in June.

Sadly, there's still no news about when the game will be released on PS4.

Still waiting on that PS4 version. Just any info would be nice lol. It's getting frustrating to try and play on a laptop that struggles this much.

Just finished watching the trailer and the game's got me geeked. Can care less about getting Titanfall on 360 now. Sounds like game will release within 4 months.
