Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Obsidian's throwing a stream party for the last few hours of the kickstarter. Sitting on 3.8 with one more stretch goal at 4.0.

NOTE: Twitch chats are often NSFW, so there's that warning. Plus there's about 4500 people watching right now.

Figured I'd bump the already created thread to discuss the game, about to start it now

Can't wait to try it later. All reviews I've read have been extremely positive.

Still hard to believe I got this for $20 by backing it 3 years ago.

Mine should be preloaded and ready to go once I get home tonight. I will try to start up, but may end up in Character creator for a long time trying to decide what I want to be.

I think I just spent a full hour in the character creator, ended up rolling a godlike-fire-monk.

                            Re: Pillars of Eternity

Man, a game like this came out at the worst possible time - right before the one game that I will play for an entire year. Because I can already tell this one is quite the timesink in itself. Of course back in 2012 when I actually paid for this by backing it I had no idea that it would be coming out mere days before The Show '15

I decided to play a rogue class and I'm already making use of my stealth for sneak attacks that are potent enough to one-shot enemies. The number of different classes and ways to play are going to give this insane replay value.

Spoiler question for the first half hour or so:

"One of the Best RPG's since Baldur's Gate" is quite the statement.

                                Re: Pillars of Eternity

Just an example of how much customization there is -

The wizard I happen to be traveling with just got his first level up, and in his class unlocks I'm presented with TWENTY-FOUR different spells to possibly learn in addition to the 4 he already has, and I can choose two for that level up. Each one's effect is clearly spelled out when you highlight it, and they range from direct damage (several different damage types) to buffs to debuffs, to everything else you can think of. All relatively minor effects, since these are just level 1 and 2 spells.

You might spend as much time fine-tuning your characters as you do actually fighting with them.
