Well, there are game systems for people who only want that, and a PSX for people who want everything in one unit. Simply put, if you dont want "all that stuff" buy a PS2. I already have an xbox but I'm talking about the next-gen consoles. It seems like they are trying to put all of this stuff in there when I might not want that or I might already have that stuff. If they made seperate versions of the new consoles with one having all the extra stuff in it and the other having just the game console itself then i wouldn't care.

And the DVD remote goes for, what? $15.

So, the grand total for all this functionality $1,235 if you want to buy everything seperately. Now that's not worth the money or the space. Instead, you get one box with all this functionality, in one pretty package.

The PSX is being made for a different audience than a regular console, but the PS3 wont be. Im sure it will be marketed as a console, and those prices wont fly in the regular console world.
