    Re: Batman: Arkham Origins

It may sound weird, but I'm very curious to learn who the voice actors are. Batman: AA and AC had some of the best voice acting I've ever experienced in a video game. If Kevin Conroy doesn't voice Bruce Wayne, that will be a deal breaker for me. I cannot watch / play any animated Batman that doesn't have Conroy as Batman. Will Mark Hammill come out of retirement for this? Hammill is synonymous with the Clown Prince of Crime, so anyone taking over that role has huge shoes to fill.

    Guess time will tell...

On the other hand, I wonder if Rocksteady is working on another Batman game.

Well that map shows what I'm guessing is general areas in which to find each assassin.

No Paul Dini, Kevin Conroy, or Mark Hamill

Not getting a good vibe about this but we shall see.

          Agreed.

Rumor is that Bruce Greenwood (Batman Under the Red Hood) will voice Bruce Wayne. That wouldn't be horrible, but its not Kevin Conroy. Nobody does the Joker like Hammill. Maybe Nolan North will bring Penguin back...

I'm curious to see how Scarecrow turns out...graphically, voice over, etc.. He's always been an interesting character in my eyes.

I thought the Under The Red Hood cast was great - Joker included.

I love Conroy's and Hamil's performances, but I'm not gonna skip out simply because they're not involved.

Who the voice actors are doesn't bother me. I couldn't tell you who voiced what in the past so no issue there.

Don't care about the addiction of MP because I'm not expecting the single player to be much of an advancement over the others seeing as this will be the last Batman game on current get anyway. Doubt them taking time to add MP will cause other parts of the game to suffer.

                    Re: Batman: Arkham Origins

I can think of three reasons why WB is adding multiplayer to the franchise...

                    1) Adding multiplayer in order to nickel-and-dime folks, which weakens the single player aspects; however, extends the life of the game

                    2) Adding multiplayer because some big wig wants it (and added at the end of the development cycle), but single player won't suffer (think Spec Ops: The Line)

                    3) Multiplayer is actually online/offline co-op (think Mass Effect 3)

In my opinion, for a franchise that still has people playing and is built on single player, reason #1 is by far the worst of my three. I'm all for adding multiplayer if it betters the game, but I don't think it should be added to a franchise that's done so well as single player. Bioware integrated multiplayer perfectly into the Mass Effect series, which leads me to #3. I believe online co-op would be awesome; however, I'm not sure who the second player would play as based on the story line's timing. In the end, I hope its being added late in the development cycle because some douche bag in upper management wanted it. This happened with Spec Ops: The Line and MP turned out abysmal; however, the single player experience was still one of the best I've ever had.

                    Only time will tell...

Ughhhhhhhhh I really don't like this if this is true. Consider me officially worried.

I buy this game for an awesome storyline and gameplay. Not to have a mosh pits with 20 other batmans.

HOPEFULLY, the multiplayer is drop-in/drop-out co-op considering the supposed extended cast of this. Unless RockSteady is working on the actual Golden Age game... Damn the secrecy.

Multiplayer was inevitable. At this point I don't really care. As long as the single player is as good as the past two Batman games, I'm happy.

Just better hope they don't start neglecting SP just to throw a MP mode in the game. That has been one of the biggest mistakes game companies have made this gen.

All the SP games I play personally (ie: Mass Effect, Tomb Raider, Assassins Creed) didn't suffer at all from multiplayer, in fact, I probably play non sports multiplayer now more than ever due to those titles.

So i'm not worried at all myself...

Well thats great but those games pretty much had their foundations laid, and yeah non sports games are better for it in so many ways. Its still a shame that online just became too much of a priority for some companies and it ruined alot of what could've been good things.
