    XBOX Live Signup

Just decided to go for XBOX Live, but I have a question or two. I already have Verizon DSL service and a Linksys wireless router (with 4 available ports for cables too). I also have a coupon for a free 2 month subscription to Live that came with an XSN Sports game. So.....

    1) Is physically setting it up as simple as running an ethernet cable from my router to the back of my XBOX??

    2) I bought my XBOX in about July of 2002. So it's not one of the newer models that comes all set up with XBOX Live in mind. Will this create any problems for me??

    Thanks for any help.

    1) Yep, just run the RJ-45 to your Xbox and when your setting up your XBL account in the dashboard, just go to automatic settings.

    2) I got my Xbox in Feb. of 2002, and I've never had any problems to date with XBL.

Just to add to what nivek said, I've had my Xbox from launch, and as long as automatic settings were on, I have yet to have a problem.

Thanks for the tips boyz. Can't wait to get some new rosters for ID 04, new levels for Splinter Cell, and play some ID, Top Spin, and Rainbow Six on there. Sweet.
