I gotta agree with those. But what do you mean with Myst? You mean graphic wise, or puzzle game wise?
Wait, did Goldeneye or WCW vs the World come out before Quake? I cant remember. What I do remember is plying Quack. That games had the worst graphics and animations I'd ever seen on N64. Or was that Quake 2?

Quake definitely takes the title over Goldeneye (as good as it was) as far as multiplayer standards go. I dont remember there being multiplayer tournaments for Ferraris or people changing their official professional title to "Gamer" over Goldeneye. Quake also had Thresh, who IMO set the standards of how FPS control on PC should be.
I also am curious about the Myst comment.

I dont know if I'd exactly put Everquest as the MMOG one because before it, there was Ultima Online, and LONG before both of these, there was Dungeons and Dragons.
There also has to be some mention of the Sierra adventure titles like King's Quest or even Leisure Suit Larry because I believe these really brought some popularity to the adventure genre.
One more to the list that I'm sure no one will argue with me about...
Street Fighter II (Fighting)
