Now that basically everything is out (Hitman, Far Cry 3 are really all that's left), what's everyone's top 10 games of 2012?

For me..

1. Halo 4
2. The Walking Dead
3. Spec Ops: The Line
4. WWE '13
5. Sleeping Dogs
6. Forza Horizon
7. Lego Batman 2
8. Sniper Elite V2
9. XCom
10. Call of Duty Black Ops 2

Honorable mention - Need for Speed Most Wanted, NBA 2K13 and Avengers: Battle for Earth

For me Halo 4 runs away with GOTY this year. The graphics and story alone in the single player is the best this generation of consoles has ever seen. Then the crazy fun multiplayer and all the different mode types. It is a no brainer! Halo 4 reminds me of why quake, duke nukem 3d, unreal tournament, and those old classic shooters got me into competitive multiplayer. It is just fast paced action packed fun!

I'll do a Top 5:

1. Assassins Creed III (PS3)
2. Max Payne 3 (PS3)
3. Borderlands 2 (PS3)
4. NBA 2K13 (PS3)
5. Madden 13 (Vita)

Honorable mention goes to The Show 12 on PS3/Vita, but despite how much I love the game, the lack of post-launch support this year knocks it out of the top 5.

Haven't played anything else enough to be considered. NCAA and Madden aren't worthy of top 10 status.

I have XCOM, but haven't gotten into it yet due to playing other releases first.

Not counting FIFA 13 on the iPad, I've only bought seven games this year. And three of those (Batman AA/AC and Gran Turismo 5) came out earlier than this year. Then there's Soul Calibur V, which I hated enough that I traded it in a week after buying it. So that leaves only three games that came out this year that I've purchased, and still have. I guess I'll go by top five played.

1. MLB 12 - nothing else is close for my GOTY.
2. Madden 13 - flawed, but still fun for me.
3. Batman AA - trying to knock this out before starting AC.
4. Dead or Alive 5 - a fun fighter.
5. Gran Turismo 5 - really haven't played this as much as I thought I would.

This list makes me realize how many new titles I play, these days. I usually wait it out and buy games a year or so after release for dirt cheap.

I played Mass effect 1 & 2 but never ended up getting 3. Looks like I'm going to need to grab it at some point.

The 3rd is worth it for the multiplayer alone (if you are into that sort of thing) otherwise the story of the 3rd is still great imo.

My list so far and it could change once I get to play AC3 in the next few days.....

1. Sleeping Dogs (I didn't have as much fun with a game this year like I did with Sleeping Dogs. Enough to put in 40 hours for the plat.)
2. Max Payne 3 (I absolutely love this game and if it wasn't for Dogs, would be my #1 pick.)
3. Halo 4 (H4 came very close in the second spot, but a few things about the story bugged me a little bit.)
4. The Walking Dead (This was a total surprise at how well the point and click adventure controls are and helps that the story is fantastic.)
5. The Show 12 (I have not played a baseball game as much as I played The Show this year.)
6. Mass Effect 3 (The story wasn't as good as ME3 imo, but this was still good stuff.)
7. WWE 13 (The best version of this franchise period.)

I have left spots 8-10 open since there are a few more titles to be played.

6. Minecraft for the 360...never played it on pc so it was new to me. game seemed so simple yet I put over 100 hours into it. Think it came out this year.

I forgot mass effect came out this year, feels like forever since I have touched that game.

1. Black Ops 2 - best campaign ever of all the games I played this year.
2. Madden 13 - really was surprised how well the game turned out.

8. Medal of Honor: Warfighter - highly disappointed......too many very long driving missions for a FPS, too short SP

Not into the Halo series, never could stand those games. Not into Max Payne either....Once I buy X Com it might jump into the top 5, I played it for a bit and liked what I saw.

Like every year, the best games come out in November.
