I have been reading some of the Grimoires and I had an interesting experience with some Dregs. I think we are the bad guys in this story. Just my opinion of course but just wanted to put it out there.

I was running patrol around Mars for a bounty, was opening chests along the way collecting relic iron. Open one chest and inside was a blue engram, a special weapons ammo pack, and 17 relic iron.

I read an article talking about that a few days ago. I'll have to remember where I saw it so I can give a link. It's an interesting theory.

Yup, every once in a while (especially if you're farming an area for chests/mats, I have a loop on the Moon and a small loop on Mars down for this fact) you'll open a loaded chest. Opened one on Mars this morning that gave me a legendary engram, a blue engram, a Mote of Light and 11 Relic Iron.

I haven't read a single Grimoire. Hell I only been to bungie's website twice.

A friend and I just finished the Phogoth strike lvl 26, just the two of us.

We literally ran around Phogoth without stopping for a second and kept shooting at him while jumping over and around all other mobs.

After ONE HOUR of fighting Phogoth, he finally died.


BEST. FEELING. EVER.

My friend and I actually just did the same thing after our 3rd left, him being a level 13 and myself a level 12. Took a few tries but at the end we got to a point where I was literally just jumping around the map for a good 30-40 minutes and only stopping to revive him (17 times!) because my character was too weak to do any damage against Phogoth.

Ascendant Energy is used to upgrade the legendary/exotic weapons. You can get them from dismantling Legendary/Exotic Weapons.

Ascendant Shards does the same for Leg/Exo Armors. Same thing, get them from dismantling Leg/Exo armors.

You can get one or two of either the shards/energy from your first gold on a public event each day.

You can do the Daily Heroic Mission on level 26 to get 1 material (either one, can't choose which) every day, and you can do the same mission on level 28 to get 2 of whichever material it chooses to give you. That's 4-5 materials per day.

Unsure about other ways to get them, those are just the guaranteed ways that I know how that I have done.

Probably the Vault of Glass as well, but you need a good, solid leveled-up group for that. It's no joke. Even at 27, I can only take 3-4 shots.

I got an exotic weapons bounty last night when turning in a normal Mars bounty.

Step 1. Complete 5 strikes without dying. Looks like there's a lot of Devils Lair in my future.

Finished a crucible round with a 2.43 KDR at the top of the leaderboard.

I haven't played much of it since my Warlock is only a lvl 13, but I'm finally starting to get great results. It definitely takes a little strategy sometimes.

A 5 kill streak feels so rewarding.

It's definitely random. My Mars bounty was collect 200 tears from killing enemies.
