What guns did you use?

My crappy scout rifle (Cryptic Dragon) which actually does void damage, Final Boss sniper, and Super Good Advice machine gun. The latter two do solar damage which makes killing the Wizards much easier. I would definitely recommend using a solar sniper rifle as you can kill a wizard from range in 6-8 shots (less if you're level 28+ or have a higher impact sniper rifle).

The hardest part was definitely the middle where there are multiple rounds of wizards. The three wizards during round 3 ganged up on me and killed me the first time. Second time I gradually lured them into the hallway before the main room and took them one at a time.

I thought some ceiling creature spawned back there to prevent lingering.

There are three rooms there, the forward room will spawn the shrieker if you are there more than 10 seconds, the middle room is safe, the back room will despawn phogoth and send you back to orbit.

Gave the raid a shot on hard with 5 randoms, it ended in utter defeat as we just couldn't get past the first set of confluxes. The minotaurs just overwhelmed one side and we kept failing time after time. Will have to give it a shot with some of my more experienced friends this week.

With that said, sounds like I may be able to solo this thing. Do you have to clear the room to break Phogoth free or does he free after a certain amount of damage? I've played the map a million times, just never paid attention.

And I'm not feeling the summoning pits either, might just do the 6 coin version of the weekly. Unless I get a real nice fireteam going. But I'm thinking this week is gonna be a week that many people lay off of the nightfall.

Nah, I say we go for the gusto and maximum coinage, Bolt.....we can doooo it!!!

This is why I don't want raid matchmaking. Adding content that requires coordination and cohesion with complete randoms isn't going to end well.

Well if that whole "more experienced friends" thing falls through, don't hesitate to send me an invite. The raid and the nightfall are the only two things in the game I still haven't done and I only really care about one of them.
