On topic, downloaded it last night, will play it in a few and check it out. Never been a Halo fan, so I'm not sure I will like it.

I was in the same boat as you,I absolutely could not stand Halo's MP and was REAL hesitant on this game....but after playing the game I can definitely tell the single player will be worth the price of admission alone.

The MP?...I won't touch it tbh...it's just not my "cup of tea", (and yea I tried it) but as far as the sp or co-op portion,hell yea this game seems like it's going to be a blast.

A little birdy also told me you'll be able to use 3rd person in the retail version.

Are you serious here? I sure hope so,as I prefer 3rd person to see my character especially after armor or appearance upgrades.

Mostly confused with what is going on in the game but I enjoy the solo play so far.

Would consider pre ordering in time for the beta but enough games to clear this summer before I can think about this game in September. Only two and a half months away.

Pretty confused as well. Played the first mission, it was cool. Play the second, it seems to be the same as the first mission? Same area, mostly the same enemies (some slightly higher level), got to the locked door and just quit out.

Well I reached level 8 which is the max level for the alpha. It's really fun. Got a machine gun with 96 attack. **** yeah

Well no but Bungie intend the game to be played in groups with friends or random people, instead of solo. It just harder by yourself and you have to use more strategy.

I haven't played with anyone and have been doing missions on my own.

I tried helping some guy out but he decided to use that opportunity to split and left me with the three aliens flanking me. But dodge and shoot seems to work well for me.

I'm guessing the point is to just keep trying the missions? I haven't done co op yet because I'm only level 5 and I feel I should be at 6 at least.

Yeah its fun. And boo for bungie trolling me with higher ranked gear that the level cap prevents me from using. Lol.

Anyone going to be on tomorrow? Would love to group up for pvp or something.

I never really played Halo either so PvP is a bit rough. But words can't describe the satisfaction of a sniper kill.

Am I missing something? Is there only one story mission? I've done the first mission (twice actually) and now I only have that mission and an exploration mission that seems to have a bunch of random missions littered about. I've done at least half a dozen of those missions and it's getting a bit bland. Is there not but one story mission?
