I can't wait to I have a high enough level to run the raid. I am currently a 26, but I heard that's not really high enough to do well at it. Should I try to get to 27 or 28 before attempting?

I'm currently inches from hitting 28 but everyone on these forums has been cool enough to let me run the raid when I'm 27 or even in the past as a 26.

You might be okay as a 26 with maxed weapons otherwise it will be a bit tougher than what it should've been I found. I'll run strikes/missions/Whatever with you later in the week to get your level up if you want

that's what I figured. I have a legendary hand cannon and shotgun, but neither are even close to be leveled up.

If you don't have a legendary auto rifle or exotic, I would recommend saving up vanguard marks or crucible marks and buying the shadow price or grim citizen. Auto rifles are useful in the raid for taking out oracles and such

Well depending on what Xur is selling and if I get anything tonight, might make it 29 by the weekend.

If so, I'm down for the hard mode this weekend. Otherwise, I'll have to sit that out until next week

Just a heads up for those of you wanting to run HM.

You're much better off having at least 4 30's minimum, not absolutely necessary but extremely helpful. You're also much better off having everyone with all 3 weapon slots maxed out to 300 atk.

Preferably Gallahorn (sp?) and more than just a few guys with either...

VoC, AE, Corrective Measure maxed, because you never know who's gonna be teleported and Oracles on HM are tough as nails to kill and those three weapons maxed out melt through them.

Good to know thank you. I'll probably hold off on that for awhile then. I'll focus on making other characters so I can grind raids and strikes

Do you play often? I'm always trying to get OSers together to raid.

I'm on quite a bit, probably not as much after Halo comes out on Tuesday, but I still plan on playing. I haven't been able to do a raid yet, if I'm on, send me an invite if you ever need people for one.

Atheon is really a pain in the *** now. Before the patch it was easy to decide who goes into the portal. Now it's just crazy and everyone has to know what to do for each role. I still don't know how to use the relic so if I go in the portal I just hope someone else knows what to do and I just shoot oracles.

Took us the other day about 2 hours just to defeat Atheon on hard mode because of this.

As a primary scout rifle user the VoC is like my dream weapon. If I pull it tonight I'll freak out, I'd rather have raid gear though

What I've learned is if Atheon isn't dead after the third teleport, someone isn't doing their job.

That someone was me. Lol.

However, I find that part really easy. What you have to make sure, because the game is glitching during that part, is that Atheon took three people. Sometimes he only takes two and that's when we'd die. If he takes two, someone needs to go in immediately.

Whoever has the relic needs to kill all of the enemies while two sit back killing the Oracles.

That's true, by 3 it should be over.

As far as only teleporting 2 players...

This is again taken from my friend pito; I'll quote him here...

"Read this earlier: when the portal glitches and sends 2 instead of 3, you can actually just walk out of the location. Don't need to kill a single Oracle. You lose Time's Vengance but that's the only thing. Can save a wipe"

When the two person teleport happens, the guy with the relic can drop it and shoot the oracles, just have to pick it up before it wipes. Corrective measure is a boss with that, grab relic, kill adds, cleanse partner, hold triangle, shoot a couple oracles, grab relic, repeat until done. Doing that you won't need a third, you won't lose vengeance, and you don't even get too close to wiping.
