It's pretty easy tbh, when the 3 guys get teleported call out where it is(if it's Venus I always shoot a rocket at the minotaur so the relic holder doesn't die). The 3 players who didnt get teleported clear the side the teleport team is on. Once the relic team clears their map, everyone jumps to the middle rock, relic holder puts up the shield, and everyone unloads on Atheon.
Repeat 3-4 times and you'll beat him.

I just think we weren't doing enough damage fast enough. We all were doing fine with the relic and opening the portals etc....it was more like getting to that 3rd and 4th wave and Atheon just having way too much HP left, then one person would slip up and we'd wipe.
Wasn't anyone in particular it just takes so little to ruin the run, and the longer you go the chances of it happening are greater.
Like I said we have the process down, we just needed to do more damage at a faster rate and we'd have got him.Comment

We know the process. Something stupid would always happen. One of us would accidentally jump over the platform with the relic, everyone would die on the outside or the Minotaur would take 0 damage no matter what we did. Most of the time, it was the Minotaur not taking damage.--

I really wish the chests still put out shards and energy after running the raid once. It would be nice to get just a little something for helping others run it. All the hard limits on loot/experience in this game have sort of worn on me.
Hoping I can nab the boots from the raid this week, but me finding legendary leg armor in this game is essentially impossible. Only one pair and I bought those from Dead Orbit what feels like months ago.Comment

Legendary drops in general are awful in this game, I've probably had more exotic drops than legendary.Comment

I have never actually seen a exotic drop, i got them from Xur, bounties, and the nightfall.
For the time I have put into this game, it has not really payed off.

Keep your grenades. Don't waste them on Atheon and then use them as soon as you teleport on the guys at the middle of either Mars or Venus.Comment

I consider nightfall/etc and bounties drops, since even though you have to complete the bounty the bounty itself was an RNG drop.
Only counting drops from engrams? I probably have more exotics, most times legendary engrams end up as ascendant mats.Comment

Even with 2 failed attempts, I got the Gauntlets my first run and the Chest piece my second. So really I can't complain seeing as it took a lot of you guys multiple runs to get anything. Not trying to rub it in, just sayingComment
