I'm glad you guys are around because I never knew a thing about color coded loot.

That's news to me. Man, I hope my inexperience in this genre of game doesn't make it difficult to get into come September.

I have decided I'm definitely going to buy this though I doubt I will give the beta a run with Watch Dogs, The Show and Wolfenstein being my summer games.

Me. I go digital with every game.

Same, and this is the first game (I think) that will be preloadable. Can't wait to finally play a game at midnight instead of waiting a few hours.

Most of the bigger MMO / RPG type games aren't going to diverge from the tried & true color coded loot system. When I played DC Universe, Defiance, etc. They had the same system in place.

For as long a life cycle that they're planning for this game, they'll eventually have an auction house of some type. Many games don't start out having one, but eventually do. The two games I mentioned being examples.

Started off as a young, permeable soldier, new to this world

Discovered new things, met some great people and had some great times

It's been a pleasure, gentlemen, and I salute you.

If you're going to have an MMO type of game and plan to stick around then you pretty much have to have an auction of some sort in the future. Even if they allowed just trading it'll turn in this big spam of chat, etc which then forces their hand.

Granted I never realized is there even typed chat?

An auction house doesn't ruin any experience. Don't use it if you don't want to, it doesn't mean stuff won't drop for you. If they code stuff to drop stupidly, that's not the fault of an auction house being present... it's the fault of stupid game design.

Especially since this game isn't even an MMO.

Yeah I know what you mean. It just that to me it does not seem like a lot of tier for weapons. Maybe it because I played a lot of Borderlands.

Well they are planning for it to last almost 10 years. That a long time and it gonna need a lot of content to make it last close to that. A auction house is gonna be key later down the line.

No it does really. The game is not relying on it at all. You could earn all of the weapons you need through playing and questing. It just helps people get better gear faster if they have the money for it.

I've never heard or experienced That buying/selling of goods if you so choose is a bad thing.

Dang, I thought the Alpha was going to be available far longer.

As long as a AH is implemented correctly then its ok. Basically do everything opposite of what Blizzard did with Diablo 3. It concerns me Blizzard/Activation are partnered with Bungie for this considering Blizzard has done nothing but dumb down their games (Looking at you WoW) for a while now.

But in all reality a AH isnt needed yet in the game (From what was shown). Theres really no reason for it unless theres going to be more items/crafting stuff that glimmer would be needed for. I know its early and I am sure thees much more content, I just cant wait to see that content.

Absolutely no Real Money AH and absolutely no pay to win dlc. If so this game is doomed from the get go.

Dont get me wrong, I am super excited for this game so far but the Direction of Blizzard hasn't been great recently (RoS expansion excluded however that shouldnt of been needed in the first place if they didnt completely destroy Diablo originally) and I dont want them getting their claws into ideas for the game.

I honestly didn't know this was even associated with Blizzard and that gives me more faith in this game. Give Blizzard **** all you want, but throw out the beginning of Diablo 3(I give them mad credit for rebounding that, not many companies would) and they have a pretty damn good track record.
