You only need one exotic shard to upgrade an armor or weapon, up to then they upgrade like the rest of the defense/damage upgrades.

Yes, it's only the very last upgrade that needs the exotic shard. BTW, the Thorn is awesome now.

Love the update when it comes to farming materials. I was needing about 64 or so relic iron to upgrade some boots for my alt and instead of farming for an hour I used 40 vanguard marks and got 80 relic iron.

seems to be a lot of updates on the Xbox one, either that or it keeps downloading the same one.

downloaded an update from in-game Destiny around lunch, then just now, downloaded an Xbox One/Destiny update, then downloaded another in-game destiny update.

I did test out Super good Advice a bit as I'm still trying to level it up. It was one of my first Exotics, just never used it much until this past week.
The stability boost helps a lot. It seems actually usable now. Still need to level it up for the perks though. I just now got the super Good advice perk unlock.

Careful with spending your vanguard and crucible marks. New guns and armor will be available from vendors when the DLC drops.

Meh, I doubt any of it will be better than the raid stuff or exotics, can't say I need any weapons I don't already have.

Ahhhhh yissssss! Already my favorite gun in the game. Not that I use it in the raid or anything as the Gally and Icebreaker are far more useful there, but I use it when completing all of my daily quests/bounties just because it's so damn fun.

I'm feeling this patch for the most part. I LOVE that materials can be purchased from the tower vendor. Just upgraded a couple of things farther that I had been ignoring solely due to the fact that I hadn't felt like farming materials as of late.

I'm liking the support Bungie is showing this game. They seem to be listening for the most part. Minus the whole Atheon teleporting three randoms explanation they gave, they seem to have a finger on the pulse of the community.

I like all the updates, but will have to see how my crappy exotics handle to judge if they are actually improved enough. Thorn, Bad Juju, and SGA were all really bad. Not sure on the Templar fix; I've only beaten him the "normal" way once, and I don't even remember how that went.

The limited time I had with the Thorn tonight was much more enjoyable then when I used a different weapon
