The Destiny PlayStation-exclusive content that was hinted at during the Sony E3 Press Conference has been revealed on the PlayStation Blog.
Right at launch, both PS4 and PS3 players will get a unique co-op strike mission on Mars, a competitive map, a bunch of exclusive guns, gear, and three ships. Not bad.
The strike mission, entitled The Dust Palace Strike, is a three-player co-op mission that can be played with friends or via matchmaking. You and your team will track a Cabal extraction team through an ancient skyscraper and face the Psion Flayers enemy.
The Exodus Blue Competitive multiplayer map is a mid-sized ship that works well with Control and Skirmish game modes.
As for gear, each class gets its own unique armor. Warlocks get Manifold Seeker armor, Titans get Vanir Armor, and Hunters earn Argus armor. The Monte Carlo assault rifle and Hawkmoon hand canon will also be available.
Bungie is going big with Destiny, the first game from the studio since it parted ways with Microsoft and the Halo franchise. And Activision believes in the MMO first-person shooter, putting $500 million into the game’s development and promotion. Destiny offers up different classes for players to choose from — Hunter, Titan, and Warlock — with a large focus on co-operative multiplayer. With so much riding on online, Bungie is holding a beta for Destiny next month, ahead of the game’s scheduled release on September 9.Comment

Has Bungie release any information on exclusive content for PS4. They are giving PS4 user 4 early days to play the Beta and the Alpha was exclusive to yall. Other than Sony having a White PS4 and Destiny bundle. There has to be some exclusive content in game instead of being the first to play it.Comment

Putting our Alpha out there lit a new kind of fire here at Bungie. It feels like we’ve been reborn. Putting alpha code out in the wild is always a risk; that build is ancient by our standards, riddled with content and bugs we’d never allow through to ship. In many cases, the really rough and jagged edges had been hammered smooth long ago, making it all the more difficult to see them discovered, but in just as many others, there’s still work to do, and the only way to get it done is to let you touch down in our world to tear the place wide open.

If you had a chance to play our First Look Alpha, thank you for paving the way for what we hope is so many more players. There are a lot of gamers who didn’t get the chance to fight in this round. That’s going to change very soon. If you did play, you’ve helped ensure that everyone who jumps into our Beta in July will have a better experience for it.
A lot of our friends asked us if this was a real Alpha. It was. We’ve gathered a mountain of data and feedback. We’re learning and reacting and Destiny is going to be better because of it. You’ll see the fruits of that labor as early as next month, assuming we’re lucky enough to have you in our Public Beta.

So, Alpha is behind us. Done and dusted. The icon sits idly in our home screen, taunting us every time we fire up our consoles to play or watch something that isn’t Destiny.
Something is missing – a commemoration of the brief, but beautiful time we spent together.
