I wasn't impressed with this last presentation on multiple levels. They spent 0 time talking about the rewards, showed us nothing. I'm not a fan of "hoard" modes so that was not something I was looking forward to much and the gameplay did nothing to change that. Watching an IGN video and seeing Vallus Tua'arc again....ugh. This is probably the DLC that I wouldn't buy if I didn't already have it with the version of Destiny I bought...(well done bungie).

I'll still play it, but I have almost no excitement about the content. The changes that come with it, ascending weapons and gear is awesome (and long overdue).

I haven't watched it yet, but reading about it and I'm pumped for it. It's something different.

No it's not, not really. Watching the stream felt like watching chunks of the Phogoth strike and the Hive parts of Omnigul played during a weekly heroic (single modifier) with some half assed mechanic thrown in (standing in a circle for a really short period).

Granted, pretty much the whole game is "go to location, fight enemy wave(s)", but at least the raids threw in some interesting mechanics to figure out. Even Crota, which got blasted for not having more involved mechanics, looks complex in comparison.

Not that it's horrible, it's just not great, and it doesn't feel like something I will want to do post getting my drops.

Ran my first raid on destiny with a friend last night. Crota(normal) run with a PUG and received, deathsinger's mantle, light in the abyss, oversoul edict, & swordbreaker. Finally got a primary with elemental!

Tried Crota(hard) after with my lvl 30 warlock and we got to past deathsinger but i could barely help since i still needed a gally. but we made it to crota and tried like 10 times before calling it a night. It was nerve recking and fun though.

I kind of can't with for Prison of elders since ive always enjoyed survival modes in fps with small groups. Do wish the next content will be a raid though.

30 is rough on Crota hard just because you can barely do any damage. I'm 31 and have a Hunger of Crota, so me and 1 guy with Gally can still put him down, but I can't imagine trying hard at 30.

yea we usually always had 2 guys with gally's but as i've found out yesterday it's insanely difficult to find a swordbearer lol.

I can swordbear pretty easily on normal mode. I haven't done it yet on hard though. I just don't need anything from that raid.

That is a solid haul, I use all three, though fusion rifle use has gone waaay down (almost to nothing) since the shotgun buff.

Ran the VOG on hard and got nothing but shards and the sparrow at the end. That was rough.

I tried running Vault twice tonight on hard. The first time, it was a full raid posting, but then they just wanted to Atheon. Then joined a group on a full raid and couldn't get past the confluxes. The guy that started the group admittedly hadn't done Vault much, but really struggled to follow directions and was the first one dead almost every time. And wouldn't stop talking, especially after he died. Couldn't keep people in the group. It was frustrating.

Our group was great. I think we ran through the whole thing in an hour, which is good for the VOG. Much more time consuming than Crota.
