I don't have any etheric light yet. I am going to run the PoE on level 34 twice, one with my hunter and once with my warlock. You get 1 etheric light guaranteed from the level 34 one, a weapon core, and some house of judgement rep.

I'm thinking about saving the weapon core, running the level 32 on my titan to get an armor core and trying my chances with the "chance" pack that the Fallen vendor has. You can get a piece of 42 light gear from that or an etheric light I believe.

Either way, I'll hit 34 by Friday most likely. I started today with 0 treasure keys, I farmed on Skywatch 6 times and luckily got 2 treasure keys. I'll get a 3rd from completing the few story missions with my titan.

Edit:

Make that 3 treasure keys farming Skywatch today. Granted I've gotten EXTREMELY lucky as I did this for the first few days before HoW came out and didn't get one key and then 3 today.

SGA: Skywatch is the fastest way to farm IMO, the chests and the next area are the closest together. The Citadel on Venus is pretty good too.

I'm pretty sure the boss at the end of the 34 PoE is impossible without a Titan. We never got him below about 75% health

Yeah it could be, luckily a ton of my friends have Titans and I have one too if need be.

Nvm: it's possible without a Titan it just increases the difficulty a bit. Multiple people have confirmed doing it without a Titan. Self revive on warlocks with glide is important and triple jump on hunters is needed.

I've got 9 keys left used 1 on a 32 chest got three from completing the story mission with all characters. Got lucky in farming the week before HoW hit so. I feel like I'm in a good spot.

Also if you guys want there is a guide to the Solkas (lvl 35 PoE) fight on reddit if anyone cares.

Going to be on in about an hour to do some level 34 PoE, if anyone is interested.

Also got quite a few new weapons, I'll try to run down what I like and don't like tonight. The new monarchy machine gun is sweet, sooooooo stable, literally it doesn't move off target during fire, bad thing is the clip is rather small.

I got the frenzy from an engram as my nightfall reward. I was about to shard it cause I am not a fusion rifle person either. I will try it out!

I am not a fusion rifle person either, but I got the Murmur yesterday and I love it. Especially in PVP.

Much easier with a Titan. Tried a few times and made some progress, then a 34 on his 3rd run through joined and we got it first try. If you take the wizard and knight out quick, the thralls stop, and you can just work on the boss, using the ogres to make orbs. Got it first try with the 34. Ascended the Vault chest piece. Gotta do it at least one more time this week, ascend my boots, and I'll be 34.
