I am not a fusion rifle person either, but I got the Murmur yesterday and I love it. Especially in PVP.

I've gotten two Shotguns and an Auto Rifle so far. And Dragons Breath.... 34 boss isn't that bad once you figure it out. Just gotta make sure you get the adds first, and then just work on him with snipers.

Yep use your Ghorn and Hunger on the Ogre, Knight and Wizards to stop the Thralls and Black Hammer on the boss.

So, ruining around doing bounties it popped up that I was close to 1000 sidearm kills, so when the bounty was done, I fired up the app to check the grimoire figuring I'd just hit 100 kills real quick and holy **** the grimoire for sidearms shows vastian dynasty or whatever and what looks like a fallen themed one like the house of wolves exotics. Do want.

There is a lot you can do, here's my advice:

First, get your vanguard up to at least 2 so you can buy legendary armor with your marks. The factions use crucible marks so it's good to level up of those as well. They are all nice, people usually choose a faction based on the shaders you can get. Dead orbit has arguably the most coveted shader, revenant, it's all black...super rare to get though. Once you get to level 3 and on from each faction and vanguard/crucible you'll get a package. This package can include, legendary gear, weapons, class item, motes of light, strange coins, and a shader/ship from one of the 3 factions.

Xur comes each week and brings exotic armor and a weapon, the armor costs 13 strange coins and the guns are 17 for secondary and heavy, and 23 for primary. Save your coins for that and buy some goodies. He comes Friday at 5am until Sunday 5am.

Ether chests are now a great way at possibly earning treasure keys (used for the new DLC) and legendary engrams, I'd say do some of those too. You'll get a lot of blue engrams as well which give you a chance at legendaries and leveling up the cryptarch. You'll get a cryptarch package from level 3 and on as well.

Crucible is a good way to gain experience and they have upped the legendary weapon drop rate so you could get some good stuff from there too.

Everyone one on here is really helpful and cool and we'll help you along the way. Now is a great time to be starting with all the new changes they've made with the DLC.

I'm trying to get my vanguard rank up but it taking for ever. Just going to be doing strike until I get it past level 3. Then go back to leveling up Deaf Orbit.

Just got the DLC and I'm currently working on these mission. Would like to do the Nightfall but all my friends are not on. Was shock to see how fast I went from level 1-27 in a day. Only level 29 with One legendary gear and one legendary weapon. I only have 7 strange coins, What are some other ways to get then other than the Nightfall. I do have 2 Treasure Keys, gonna have to farm some more later.

Thanks for the help, gonna have to keep these in mind. My PSN is TrustedDegree4, would love to do some Raids, and Crucible with some of you.

You can get up to 9 coins from doing the weekly, and beyond that it's just farming engrams.

Just had the biggest fail moment in a long time. Finished prison of elders but fell to my death before treasure room. [emoji24]

At least I still have my treasure key.

So I'm thinking about jumping back in after being a hardcore player up until about 2 months ago.

Where do I start with the new expansion? I see all this stuff about keys and grinding for them, but I'm kind of lost.

3. Prison of Elders 28
4. Farm a key*
5. PoE 32
6. Buy gauntletss from varriks in the reef
7. Ascend your exotic armor of choice to get to level 33
8. Farm another key
9. PoE 34

* Keys have a chance to drop from the chests after a house of wolves event in patrol, Petra in the reef will have bounties to point you in the right direction. After they are all dead, you get an ether key buff and a glowing chest will spawn on the map, after opening you can try to sparrow to the transition to another map (when it says at the bottom the name of the new map on your screen) and rush back to open it again. This can be done until the buff goes away.

Today I pulled the Vex Mythoclass, Thunderlord and Pradeths Revenge from the Vault. I got 55a-Allfate pulse rifle from an Engram. That thing is a beast in crucible!
I am not a fan of farming treasure keys either. I have yet to farm one as I have been trying all day. Kind of reluctant to do the Prison of Elders without that key. Beating it without a shot at the big chest is a let down.

Takes about 5-7 hours to level a character fully depending on how efficient you are with bounties and if you have some higher leveled run you through missions.

Also consider making it an alternate to your main. Easy to swap gear, already have the materials you need, plus makes the grind of getting from 20 to 32, 34 much easier.
