Is Trials just a weekend (Friday-reset thing)? Would love to run some tonight if it is not. My usual Tuesday squad isn't going to be around for whatever reason so if anyone wants to run Nightfall/Weekly/PoE/Trials (some or all) just shoot me an invite on the PS4.

The trials run from Friday until the Tuesday reset. Congrats to all that scored sweet loot from the trials.

Can a level 33 do the POE on level 34 difficulty? I may need to go that route if I can't get Etheric light for my Warlock.

It resets every Tuesday along with the nightfall, raid resets. Early Tuesday morning.

I am not sure about receiving an exotic weapon when u open the chest on the reset. Did u open all 3 chest?

Nah just did the 28. Guess you get an exotic from it on once you start the POE then.

Did the nightfall and got the No Land Beyond, and friend got the Plan C. That fight with Sepiks Prime was insane but not as hard compared to Taniks.

PoE 34 new boss is vex and the mechanics sound interesting, though it's solar burn so you can just gjallarhorn him down in under a minute like skolas last week

This week's skolas is arc burn.....fun. Someone said on reddit they just zerged him down with thunderlords and arc snipers, if that doesn't work it seems a hunter is vital.


For the exotic, someone posted a poll that was at 75% got an exotic, but I wouldn't trust any poll like that, last interesting poll topic I remember was weapons gained from crota and by far the most gained was gjallarhorn.

Level 34 PoE is tough. I tried it with a level 33 titan and warlock and we got our asses handed to us in the second round (****ing cabal man) last week.

The second round is pretty brutal. First time I did it, we had a hunter, so it wasn't so bad; we hung back and shot everything while he went invis and got all the mines. Second time through was tougher; had two titans and a warlock, and tbh, the warlock wasn't a particularly great player. But those psions would just use that blast attack through the bubbles and shred us. Finally got it by me and the other titan gjallahorning the hell out of everything. Honestly, Urrox was a lot easier on that run than round 2.

Small rant here. I like what they have done with the HOW's in general but the rewards are skewed more for hardcore crucible players. U can get a team good crucible players, grind in the trials of Osiris and get elemental primary drops from Mercury, and get stuff from Brother Vance in about an hour...

Go play POE with a treasure key that u may or not have for a chance at an armore core, bounty exotic, etc. it took me about 40 minutes as a light level 32 on POE level 32. The time investment certainly doesn't outweigh the rewards between PVP and PVE especially at 34 and 35.

I feel that I am being penalized because I am not a beast crucible player. I hope that Bungee does something to better reward PVE players. Rant over

Said the same thing to a friend. If you are a good PVP player or roll with a good group and have three characters, you can easily gain 17 etheric light a week. If you are a scrub PVP player (or don't roll with a good group) you may only get 6 etheric light a week. (Not couting random drops.) So its best to "git gud" at PvP it seems...

Pretty sure this is done on purpose. Kind of the way you had to be "more than a casual player" (my reference to "hardcore") to Raid and take advantage of raid gear.

Bungie added Trials, and it's loot, to give an alternate to the best gear. In the past the only way to get the best gear was to raid. Not everyone had the time, team,skill or any combination of those to raid and hence get the best gear.

So Bungie purposefully did 2 things, change up the way you get good gear. But also, and maybe more importantly, gave PvP'ers a chance to play the game modes they prefer and get the gear everyone else got. A lot of people felt "penalized" because they didn't raid and played Crucible instead. This is Bungies way of catering to their entire audience.

That may be a tough sell around here, as we've proven most people on OS are way more into the single player /PvE aspects of most games. No bad thing, not a good, not a shot at anyone either.

For the record I did raid and had fun doing it, however my heart is and always will be with multiplayer. So naturally I'm glad they've added Trials and threw us PvP players a bone... Now I just need a few good men to kick some *** with.

Having said all that, I did get a nice suprise by way of etheric light dropping from the Nightfall this week.

Nice! My luck has not been good at all. I have been farming for treasure keys since Wed. and have not had any keys or Etheric drop.

On the bright side I was able to complete both Raids, on normal and hard and complete the Thorn bounty in 1 weekend. That thorn bounty was a pain lol!

You get the armor/weapon cores and etheric lights without a treasure key. I haven't done Skolas yet (arc burn this week, btw, take him out with your snipers is the move apparently), but from what I've read, the elemental primaries drop directly from him, and you don't need a key for the chest. I'm not sure about the new exotic bounties, but I think they may as well. All you're getting from the chest is a very high shot at an old exotic weapon, and Queens Wrath weapons. And you should obviously save a key for your first 35 run, since that's how you get the ship, etc.
