Finally took down Skolas today. Was at it for 6 hours before we did it. And got.... nothing. A 331 Queens Wrath Fusion rifle from the big chest, and emblems, etc, but no PoE weapon. Used the weapon and armor core on a judgements chance and got a second dreg pride, no burn. A little frustrating to say the least.

Kinda felt like a tool, but oh well. Got invited in around 11 by a guy. At some point he accidently left the fireteam and had to come back in, so wasn't the fireteam leader anymore. This guy barely spoke (mostly grunts) and couldn't follow basic instructions like "I'm at 10 seconds, take the taint". Also, didn't have a 365 sniper. We got Skolas below 25% once or twice. The other guy who had joined was now fireteam leader and booted him and we dropped him first try with a new guy (though the mines got us).

I'm not doing it again on Arc Burn unless it's just a great team. It's just not worth the reward. I'll do the 34 (probably tonight) to get my Titan to 34, and then the 34 on my Titan, and then run the 32 3 times, which should get my hunter to 34. Hopefully. I'll at least have 2 34s by reset, if not all 3.

If that's what it takes so long Skolas. We were at 3 hours and I had to leave. We were using 365 snipers and would get him to under 25% and wipe on mines. It wasn't fun at all felt like a chore. We were getting frustrated add to that the game was lagging so bad. Mine wouldn't show up on screen for one guy until there were 15 seconds but it was up full time for us. This was just not fun at all today.

I gotta get the Fatebringer and Word of Crota.

Do exotic drop out of the strike playlist? I seen some in the crucible and everywhere else but not there. Also can I get the weapons that drop in a Normal Raid on Hard, or am I gonna have to do the Normal?

We just kept peppering him, and I took the essence and took off for the mines while the other two guys just kept plowing him. Used my self rez when the taint got me. Got the far mine, ran to the middle one and probably would've died, but they got him when I was in the red. We used two patience and times and a spear and weapons of light. When I moved, I switched to an Arc Against All Odds for the adds. Once we got the better guy in, we actually dropped him a bunch of times before the mines got us. We were having bad luck with where they spawned; twice we disabled it when the timer was at 0, but it didn't count

Those two weapons specifically drop from the "hard" mode of each raid. Fatebringer from the Templar fight in the Vault of Glass, and Word of Crota from defeating Crota.

Given that the Max level is now 34, those fights are not as hard as they once were, and if you use reddit or lfg you should be able to find a group that is looking for the same. You may find some OSers who still need/want one of them too in this thread.

Yeah, I had a guy invite me into Crota and we did the whole thing in 35 minutes. It was super easy, and that was with having a kid trying to run sword and dying. Got my first Fang

They can drop but it's very rare. Better off doing nightfalls and raiding.

Yes. House of Wolves is a great expansion, imo. I'm having a blast

Read the thread over, the DLC has gotten good feedback here. If you liked Destiny before, then you'll probably like it more now.

Im still on the fence a bit. I have alot of things I like about the new DLC, and somethings have me scratching my head. For example: Its like they wanted to make Gjallarhorn even more of a wall to matching up with other players for PVE stuff. If you dont have that gun, POE becomes a pain in the ***, and joining up with randoms is near impossible as not having Gjallarhorn is an instant rejection now. This week's 34 boss is a nightmare without it.



As for Fatebringer, seems like everyone on LFG is trying to specifically get Fatebringer. They all leave the party after the templar fight. They dont even bother finishing the raid anymore. I cant say I blame them.


Btw has anybody gotten any of the new exotic guns? Are they worth it at all? Ive never seen anybody use a new exotic gun because everyone is using Godhorn lol.

The gjallarhorn was the first exotic I got in the game. Lol.

I think the Gjallahorn thing has worked out that way a bit so far, but I don't think that's longterm. If someone tried to use Gjallahorn on Skolas this week, I'd probably try and punch them. If Small Arms or Specialist are on, maybe people do Qodron differently. That one is hurt a little because the eye is honestly really hard to spot.

Got the cipher from 34 today. And the etheric light I got pushed my Titan to 34. Gotta do one more 34 and a 32, and I'll have 3 34s and can start working on upping NY weapons.

So much this. I couldnt even get into a week 1, Skolas because I didn't have a Ghorn, I have one legit clear of 34 this week across 3 characters. Its very frustrating and the thing that makes me mad is Bungie knows the Ghorn is OP as hell, they won't have Xur sell it again because it will basically break the game. So those that have it, have the luxury of finding others for easy PoE clears and those that do not are left to grind this stuff out. It really is the most frustrating thing. I don't even run weekly anymore. I have 96 strange coins and the only exotics I need/want are the Monte Carlo (Xur wont sell, until its on the XB1 and who cares ARs suck now.) and Gjallerhorn. So I'm stuck farming the nightfall 3x a week and hoping that I get a lucky legendary engram or a crucible drop.

Oh and as far as the exotic guns, I did get the cipher today. So once I've cleared that, I'll have one of them.

Got Praedyths timepiece last night from the Vault. I am glad that it does Arc damage. I never hear anyone talk about the weapon and would like opinions. I do like that the fire rate is fast but at a cost of low impact.
