They fixed the only legitimate (IMO) complaint people had, and the one highlighted by the interview that ignited this shotstorm, and that's that people who wanted the CE stuff couldn't get it without buying the game again. Now you can do just that, and that part of it costs the same as the $20 CE premium.

I don't know, I thought my response was pretty clear. You don't have that same opinion, and that's fine, but it's not right to say people don't know what they're mad about.Comment

Re: Destiny
Everybody screamed for days about how it wasn't fair that people had to buy Destiny and expansions again if they wanted the shaders, emotes, and class items. That's what the interview was specifically about that sparked off this riot. So they made a thing so you can upgrade a standard with the collector's stuff for the same premium over the $60 version.
Now the goalpost was moved, it's not enough that the problem was addressed, there is now a problem with that. People are rioting just to riot.Comment

Re: Destiny
Now they don't like the price. I don't understand. Is this not allowed? If they charged $40 for it, would that have been acceptable as well since they "addressed the problem"? Sure, they made it available, but now the combination of the content and the expansion equals the price of a full game. Is that reasonable? It's only $20 cheaper than the Collections Edition, which includes the full game, all DLC, the $20 extras and some additional physical collectables? Does that seem reasonable to you?Everybody screamed for days about how it wasn't fair that people had to buy Destiny and expansions again if they wanted the shaders, emotes, and class items. There is no way that the content is worth $20.Comment

Re: Destiny
Don't worry. I won't.
What do you mean by the price hasn't changed? It was just announced. They haven't released anything like this yet.Comment

Re: Destiny
I think that it is a pitiful attempt at a cash grab. I think it is flat out absurd that the special class items, shaders and emoticons has a value of 20 bucks. That is the price of each stand alone expansion lol. I know it is a case of perceived value but I just don't see it.
I hope there is more to justify a $20 price point. I am seeing this game go down a dangerous path to its own detriment. What's next... Those who don't have Ghallahorns will have a chance to buy the year 2 version for $9.99?
I am anxious for the Taken King... Just not the price point for the exclusive items.

Re: Destiny
That's a giant ****ing leap right there. They did this $20 pack at the insistence of the community, if it wasn't for the wave of hate over having to rebuy year 1 Destiny to get this stuff, the conversation, interview, and hubbub wouldn't have happened.I think that it is a pitiful attempt at a cash grab. Re: Destiny
I was exaggerating about the $10 bucks for the Ghallahorns but I can guarantee that paying for exclusive weapons won't be too far off.
I am glad community outrage has caused Bungie to rethink their position on content.

Re: Destiny
The CE DLC should be $5 at the most, $20 is ridiculous. However Bungie/Activision has proven that people are willing to pay a lot of money for almost nothing with the previous "expansions" so I'm not surprised by the pricing. The players have really done this to themselves though, its not like anyone is forcing them to buy this overpriced DLC.
The only problem I have is Bungie framing it like they're apologizing, when they're really shoving their thumb in your eye.Comment
