I definitely understand where people are coming from, but business are in business to make money for their shareholders bottom line. If gamers will buy it they will sell it separately. If you don't want it, don't buy it. The only thing that will change companies doing this is if people don't buy it. The problem is everyone screams and yells "this isn't fair, this isn't fair!!" then they end up buying it anyway.

This has been going on for a decade, just look at EA and Madden. Every year people get pissed because there are not enough upgrades to warrant an additional $60 but they buy it anyway.

Exactly! If you don't think $20 is fair, don't buy it! It's purely cosmetic stuff here, that honestly probably won't have any impact whatsoever on your gaming experience.

People are 95% upset about the ridiculous price tag on the taken king, and the other 5% is over this cosmetic DLC thats pretty much meaningless.

But like everyone is saying they're both going to sell anyway.

People will buy no matter what. I don't care about the price tag, I am not buying because the repetitive nature of this game. Props to Bungie though for milking it.

That's a giant ****ing leap right there. They did this $20 pack at the insistence of the community, if it wasn't for the wave of hate over having to rebuy year 1 Destiny to get this stuff, the conversation, interview, and hubbub wouldn't have happened.

Nah. The people were complaining because they wanted it included WITH The Taken King for the $40 NOT so they could buy it for $20...

They wanted it to be available to the day 1 guys without having to buy the $80 collectors editon with add-ons they already have. I mean sure some ppl said they would pay for it I guess but I know they didn't expect to pay as much for 9 digital items as they have for The Dark Below or House of Wolves.

But my understanding was that ppl wanted it to be INCLUDED WITH The Taken King if they were Year 1/day 1 players.

It doesn't matter anyway. It's all downhill for this game from here. I've never seen a game completely burry itself but maybe this is Bungie's slap back at Activision for making them rush them game. Halo still has loyal fans, but Destiny is just killing it's hardcore players to get a couple of dollars.

And to the guy saying this price is fine. I can't say I agree. Sure other games Add-Ons cost as much (IE GTA Dollars or 2K VC), but the thing about this is it's like Bungie is saying these 9 items are worth the same amount as a raid, new game modes, new weapons, and new armor.

That's not true. The pricing is flawed simply because it's the same price as the House of Wolves. That can't possibly make any sense to someone who got all that new game content for $20. These items don't even compare to that...

For the record, $20 is too much. $5 would probably be too much. But it's cosmetic crap that doesn't handicap you. It's a premium item. So it is what it is.

Played minimally this week. Did the Nightfalls, got Eternal Warrior, Truth (both of which I had) and the Ram! Also used my Lord of Wolves for the first time. That thing is a beast. Takes out yellow servitors in 3 hits. Killed Skolas, got nothing. Lightswitch makes him a little tougher, but still got him first run. Almost wiped when a captain screamed up the plane wing and cut us all down, but our warlock clutch rezzed.

Yeah I got no qualms with Bungie overpricing for the fluff stuff. At least they made it 50% more affordable for the die hards.

Anyway, Xur finally had helmet engrams after 3 straight weeks of chest. Finally got the Ram and Celestial Nighthawk. Thank goodness bungie let us trade in materials for motes. I spent near 200 to get them.

I'd like to get the Ram, but I would probably just waste motes just like every time. I think I have every other helmet, my odds are not good.

Spent over 400 motes on helmet engram, and didn't even get the Celestial Nighthawk. Still need Nighthawk and the Helm of Saint-14. Got the Ram and the Eternal Warrior which I not mad about.

After I buy the Greaves, the Nighthawk, Hunter boots, and dregs promise will be the only new exotics I still have to get, and I have 2 ciphers for the gun

I think the Bones of Eao are going to become my new quest. I was really hoping that tentacle face would have them but NOOOOOOO Alpha Lupi. At least i have a Nighthawk.

Tested it out in the raids, one shotting Gatekeepers/Ir-yut was so fun.

Just got the bones of Eao from the chest after a PoE 32 last night, haven't had time to level them yet though (would be leveling them, along with bladedancer, now but PSN).
