Re: Destiny
If you're good it doesn't matter what exotic you use and if you aren't good then the Ram might save you from a Thorn in some occasions.
I main a voidwalker with the Ram and normally find it extremely useful in crucible.
I should say its up to preference. I know people who love voidfang vestments. That's a great exotic.. Axion bolt chases 2 dudes for half a minuteComment

Check... I haven't found another exotic beside Voidfang for my Sunsinger. Grenade ready Warlock is problems with radar.

Re: Destiny
The only thing I hate about Voidfang is the strength stat.
Having good stats is crucial too, strength is so useless. Completely agree with what was said about The Ram. It's excellent in PvE and PvP, probably my favorite exotic.
Purifier Robes look cool but are pretty mediocre IMO. I've recently converted to Voidwalker in PvP because of blink, nova bomb, and The Ram life steal perk and it's awesome.
But if you're good, it doesn't matter if you have the ram or not. Nothing Manacles are pretty solid too.

Re: Destiny
Calling purifier robes mediocre might be generous, they need something else, blinding after self rez is really not very good. In situations where I thought it would be good (nightfalls where you get lightswitched), you aren't immune during the animation and enemies aren't blinded until a split second after you rez, giving enemies a chance to attack. Maybe make it so anything within range is blinded while radiance is active (although that may be way too op). Maybe purifier robes also grant fireborn, so you could run rez and song or radiant skin?
As they are, though, mine have been vaulted.Comment

Re: Destiny
So, the news last night, and confirmed by Bungie this morning, all preorders of TTK get a Suros arsenal pack, in addition to a Vanguard arsenal, and even though Bungie didn't mention it, PSN preorders list Hakke arsenal.
The Vanguard we know has an AR, pulse rifle, and sidearm, Suros has AR, pulse rifle, and scout rifle, presumably Hakke is similar (Omolon hasn't been mentioned yet, maybe there will be some other promotion there?).
But anyway, that's at least 9 weapons you'll get day one, not to mention anything you might buy or get from nightfall. My vault is already weeping.Comment

Re: Destiny
Yeah, I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I have about 3 spots open right now. I don't want to shard some weapons, because you never know what a future buff might bring. So, the news last night, and confirmed by Bungie this morning, all preorders of TTK get a Suros arsenal pack, in addition to a Vanguard arsenal, and even though Bungie didn't mention it, PSN preorders list Hakke arsenal.

Re: Destiny
I would say it for end game simply because the most common way to do the bridge in crota is to self rez. And for 35 PoE, any Warlock better be using self rezAs a day 1 Warlock I would say sunsinger as well for leveling up first, however it's definitely debatable on whether or not it's better for ToO and end game content. With the level cap now at 34, it's much easier to get through end game without dying as much.
Also I think the Sunsinger in Trials is kinda eh especially with the Self Res. If you're facing a good team, as soon as you self res you're dead anyway. I would say Voidwalker is much more useful for PvP especially with blink strike. With glide you are such a sitting duck in crucible.
Radiant skin, touch of flame, and Viking funeral make Sunsinger a fire tank though.

Re: Destiny
Hopefully one, if not both of these, happen:
1. Larger vault
2. These 9 guns show up with Tess and can be bought again cheap (doubtful, unless they can flag them to not give weapon parts/motes)
If nothing else, presumably they show up at the postmaster and we can leave them there until we figure out what is going to be worth keeping.
It could also be that these require effort to get, since we have "early access" and everybody can get in on them come January, so it may be a series of quests or ::shudder:: a bunch of bounties to build up rep.Comment

Re: Destiny
I might be in the minority, but I don't really see an issue with vault space.

Re: Destiny
Vault space would be much less of an issue if you could still acquire old weapons/gear. If vendors rotated through all weapons they have ever sold, you could dismantle something knowing you can get it back, otherwise you are stuck keeping nearly everything because you never know what will be good later when they make sweeping changes to weapon balance. I hate that I no longer have my shadow price, and it is tied directly to small vault space and sweeping weapon changes. The fact that I have no way to really get back that shadow price, means dismantling a weapon is that much of a harder decision. Same goes for the badger and a.whatever scout rifles I had to trash.
Until we can still buy them, old weapons will have to still be around, and if they need to stay we need room to put them.Comment
