My friend dragged me into crucible to play inferno and some combined arms. I came to the conclusion that the radar and the close quarters shotgunning meta is what makes PVP a complete cesspool. I look forward to the handcannon and shotgun nerf to hell. In fact, I hope they nerf shotguns so hard that they backfire and kill you instead. Just wipe those no skill shotguns off the map completely.

I had infinitely more fun with no radar. When I got wrecked I felt like it was my fault instead of the magical radar just directing whole squads to my position merely for walking around the map. In combined arms, there was no shotguns in sight. All skill shots (and some bs lag). My one annoyance with combined arms and destiny guns in general is the lack of bullet travel time. What is the point of sniping from across the map when the bullet instant hits the target. Thats something I havent liked about Destiny since the beginning. Once you pull the trigger, the bullet hits. Thats ridiculous.

Sounds good, just let me know what time would work for everyone. I need to schedule so I can make sure to be on. Sometimes I watch Netflix with the wife. 9:00 or 9:30pm CST would work best for me.

Something else, usually they suggest using only 3 because there's less chance of screwups, especially on the bridge, but using the jump across and bridge thing we can take a full fireteam and let guys use the top of tower cheese to snipe away making the encounter safer. It's easy as hell getting up there with a gunslinger using bones.

I'm down, also I think Crota is probably better, VoG you have to do the jump puzzle and it's easier for something to go wrong during the boss fight (glitchy teleport, glitchy oracles, etc). For Crota I think the biggest risk, besides a glitchy Crota encounter, is Gjallarhorn.

Something about Crota I discovered playing around, jumping across with the hunter is easy as hell using the climb up and bladedance across. You have to start the encounter from the origin side, you can jump across without any adds, but once across that plate won't start things. It will, however, form the bridge with zero interference, the totems don't even activate. That means you can go in with a team of, say, 2 hunters and a titan, 2 hunters jump across, form bridge, titan starts the thing, kills swordbear, comes across. Have one guy hide behind the little wall by each ogre spawn point, one guy behind lamp. Easy peasy.

Crota is the way I got flawless. The group I was in 4 manned it before HOW. 3 titans and a warlock. Climbed the tower at the sword bridge, warlock did the sword jump over the gap.

That is a nice tip on the Hunters jumping over. Going to have to try that one.

Looks like exotic weapons won't be going with us, not all of them have year two versions, and we need to find blueprints for those that do?

Yeah I didnt get that in the trailer either. It looked like a cache of your exotics, where maybe they dont take vault space anymore and you just pull them out of you blueprints page once you get them. There was a row for year one guns, and a couple rows for year two, some year one guns having year two versions. I wonder what you have to do to upgrade an old exotic into a taken king version. It BETTER not be completely obnoxious process man.

Additionally I saw what looked like a Suros + Red Death fusion gun in the exotic year two column. Bungie is streaming tomorrow with details

So there are currently 25 exotic weapons, and 12 new ones in TTK, and 26 weapons listed as year two exotics. That means 11 exotics are getting left behind.

I think they are just being considered as "year one exotics" to categorize them. I dont see it as being left behind, they just may not being updated with new perks.

So a year one Hawkmoon vs a year two hawkmoon may have different perks, but both are viable going forward. At least I hope so anyway. I hope that particular account in the image just doesnt have all year one exotic guns so we're not seeing the whole picture.

Just waiting to hear what they have planned. Really hope they are serious when they say they learned a lot from year 1. At time this year I really felt like I was beta testing.

Maybe you can only choose a certain number of Year 1 exotics to carry over?

I honestly just think that the blueprints are how you ascend year 1 exotics.

Anyway, we'll find out tomorrow. Everything else looks awesome though.
