Since I beat Skolas once a while back, ive had no reason to play that again. I just wanted the ship and shader anyway. I think im the only one that likes it. It changes the fabric of your gear to leather so its cool.

Same here, I have no interest in ever doing that again. That didn't even feel like I was playing a damn game. That ish was work.

Loved what I saw in the stream. I really want to see a stream of the strike next week because that'll be the make or break. All the stuff they mentioned yesterday was nice and it was needed, but if the strike is the same bullet sponge style bosses - it'll get stale 3 weeks after release.

All legendaries are being left behind, once TTK comes a green gun will be better than any legendary. Also, none of the raid materials are necessary now. To prepare, the main thing I think is to get to 34. After that, motes and coins are always good. If you want to get serious, keep public event packages in your vault for the XP, edge your reps (vanguard, a crucible faction, cryptarch), hoard completed 5000xp bounties. Other than those, not a lot you can really do.

I still have to beat Skolas, and complete some Public Events, and get the rest of my characters to 34. Skolas is going to be a pain with out a Ghally or Icebreaker. I could probably get my friends to help me run through it, but they probably are not going to do it. Ima just do a bunch of Bounties, Public Events, and farm Motes and Coins. Missed 3 weeks of Nightfall and Heroics. Ima probably make sure I have a couple 5k xp bounties on all my characters before it comes out.

If Y1 legendary are useless then that means the VoG and CE is also going to be pointless to do unless they change things up.

Kinda mad that the legendary marks are spread across all your characters instead of being separate, but this may mean we don't have a Weekly cap anymore.

I don't have a Fatebringer so that might be a problem, but I should make do with the VoC. Guess ima see how difficult it is when I get back.

Also, do skolas on a week without lightswitch. Its a bitch when that middle mine pops even with titan Saint-14 bubbles.

That fight is a pain. I completed it last week with a sound strategy of moving and coordinating our placement with where the mines would be. My moments are completed and I proudly wear the shader. Haven't taken it off since completing a week ago lol

And as a sidenote, I think the cap on legendary marks being at 200 between three characters is criminal. How did we go from 1200 van/cruc marks between 3 characters to 200 legendary marks? Huh?

That is how they guarantee the grind continues. Because your cap for legendary marks is now unlimited. You spend 150 on Tuesday to get the year two Suros, you can go back and grind for more marks!

They say they learned a lot from year one, but I guess they skipped this day of class. 1200 marks goes to 0 is asinine so is sharing them between characters. But the trade is they are limitless. So guys like Gothalion who plays this game 8 hours a day 6-7 days a week and are mouth pieces for Bungie will be good to go.

Going away for me are the days of playing this game 4 hours a day and grinding all the time.

I have a lot more work coming my way, family, and lots of other games coming out soon (mainly NBA 2K16 and Halo 5) so I won't be putting as much time into this game as I have during year 1.

I'm excited for a lot of the changes but some of them still seem like good ol Bungie, or should I say...Activision.

Yeah I have about a month and change to enjoy Taken King. Once Fallout 4 comes out, Destiny is dead to me.

The lack of consistent new game releases has really benefited Bungie. I just have nothing better to play right now so Destiny wins by default. I think that benefit is running out soon. Lots of awesome titles are on the way for me! Im so exited.

Weekly update is up, mostly just minor clarifications/restating of what wasn't totally clear. Two things I took away from it, current marks will be converted in batches of 50 so any leftovers will be tossed (only one of my chars not maxed is my hunter, he is only at 180 crucible marks).

Second bit they confirmed Gjallarhorn is staying a year one, no waffling "for now" just flatly stated. Xur selling it and now it being left behind is either really bad rng timing, or people at Bungie don't think these things through.

I think the not all Year 1 exotics go to year 2 will hurt Bungie. I get not taking them to Destiny 2. But it took me (for example) 11 months to get Gjallerhorn. I get to enjoy it for 3 weeks before it's relatively useless...The PS exclusive guns didn't look like they made the cut so XB1 guys are screwed. We'll see but they should revisit this decision IMO.
