I didn't run the strike any different than what I normally do, I suspect the difference between me and rob is that he took the time to fight all the adds in the first room where I just run past those fools. That's why he has 40 more kills (or he took time to hide from Valus, that was where I had my self res because 7 gjallarhorn isn't enough and rocketspam made it hard to get a shot on him after that).

For my hunter/titan, unless someone comes along and joins, I will go behind the boxes so it will take a bit longer.

Haven't played in a few weeks, been busy but also been playing a bit of Counter-Strike.

Looking forward to the Taken King - I only have one character and 10 strange coins, though.

Getting through with my titan was a pain, ended up having to mostly clear the path to the left, died like 6 times.

Damn it would take me 30-40 mins just to solo this nightfall but damn it was shorter for y'all. Ghally is a game changer.

Finally as able to finish my Pocket infinity bounty and now I have all 30 of my 5k bounty. I'm done for now with TTK preparation except, I need to edge my faction over.

Someone found a screenshot on Activision's press website that had some interesting new details, specifically a mysterious shotgun and the new iron banner titan gear. Going to put it in spoiler just in case someone doesn't want to see it yet but holy **** I love that new titan iron banner helmet.

That picture has been out for a while. Armor is cool and with Consume you can make it stronger but when oh when will IB boots carry heavy ammo....?

Found out that Xur is going to be selling Legacy Engram in TTK. It supposed to contain Year 1 exotics. My guess is that they are just going to contain year 1 exotic armor, but some people ay reddit believe they are going to contain weapons. If they do contain weapons, then I believe they will be all the weapons that were left behind, and not contain any of the Y1 exotics that are getting a Y2 version. If it not the Y1 exotics that are left then it would be all exotics.

I wonder what happens if you get a Y2 exotic that you don't have the Y1 version. Will the game give you the Y1 version, like how they are doing with the Y1-Y2.

Whether they contain weapons or not will have to wait to be seen. If they do then it would be cool if they have both weapons and armor in it. This would put the new RnG system to the test, to see if it really works.

Did 32 PoE with a buddy today to get him to 34. Doing Valus, after he's been mostly using Word of Crota, and stayed on that to handle Valus' void shield. Part way through the fight he's like "what am I doing, I should be using Atheon's!". Unascended, btw. I had to emphatically tell him no. For some reason, he has an unholy attachment to that pile of hit garbage.

It's funny how much people want to read between the lines and fill in the gaps with their own hopes. This is all based off of a tweet by Noseworthy. If I had to guess, and this is the only way it makes sense, Xur will continue his usual exotic engram inventory from year one and add a new year 2 exotic engram. I mean, why would they create an entirely new engram type that could give any exotic just for this? I wouldn't be shocked if they let xur keep selling his normal year one rotation in addition to new year two stuff.

Hmm. I wonder if the shader/emblem/ship stuff and expanded vaults will go live next tuesday with the 2.0 update. Its an 18 gig download. I'm excited. I pretty much only want/need Necrochasm, so I've slowed down playing a lot for new content. Did the Nightfall and PVP only the last 2 weeks.

Yes, everything but the new equipment, new missions, maps, etc will go live tuesday. So expanded vault, Nolan North ghost dialogue*, questification*, faction pledging, weapon tuning*, changes to nightfall/weekly, etc.

*These I have seen officially confirmed, but based on history the rest should be live then as well

Court of oryx stream was pretty bland really, though the swords look awesome and the stormcaller is better than I thought as well (that new grenade is op). Also, they didn't really say this, but it seems there will be a taken event similar to the pack of wolves events that gives the things to start the court of oryx events. In the beginning they had one of these, and basically it's a little taken portal that spawns a progression of taken enemies and they have a chance to reward one of the rune things. During that he said they would appear "on the dreadnaught and other places". So I am kind of assuming that, similar to how the wolves appeared wherever fallen exist, taken events will occur where cabal exist (mars, though moon and earth are also possible since hive are part of the taken as well). So they may show up after the patch.

Oh, and the raid comes the 18th, so the friday after TTK launches

Edit: More info, swords will not drop, you have to forge them, so I am guessing they are the weapons Bungie had been hyping that you have to find pieces of? Also, as cool as swords are, because Bungie puts OP AOE attacks on all their bosses, they have some really crappy limitations.

I think they added the ability to block with the swords so maybe thats their way of letting you stay up close and personal with them. Maybe even just tank and keep aggro.
