So Bungie showed off the Taken King story trailer yesterday during their last livestream. It looks absolutely unreal. I simply cannot wait for this DLC to drop! Bungie hasn't uploaded an HD trailer yet so I found one somebody screen captured from the live stream.

Slowly coming to terms with the loss of my beloved ToO gear and weapons. Seems like TTK is going to be a good game. Finally pre-ordered.

ToO gear was the only stuff that didn't look like doodoo with no shader equipped.

I preordered a month ago, figured I like and play this game too much not to keep buying until they really **** something up and make me regret buying it (honestly, House of Wolves came close to that point).

Yep after the second week of House of Wolves I was pretty much done with it. All strenght armor out the gate, repetitiveness of PoE and the basic demolition of my raid team. Only one of which is getting TTK now.

Luckily I only have NBA 2k and Fifa in the near future. MGS and Hitman can wait until during or after the holiday. I'll get a lot of good time with TTK

I started playing MGS, but the hospital bored the **** out of me for an hour. I almost turned it off and packed up the disc twice.

Yes, everything but the new equipment, new missions, maps, etc will go live tuesday. So expanded vault, Nolan North ghost dialogue*, questification*, faction pledging, weapon tuning*, changes to nightfall/weekly, etc.

*These I have seen officially confirmed, but based on history the rest should be live then as well

So most of this has been confirmed (ones that have not, but will presumably be part of it, are nightfall changes and faction pledging). On top of that we get all the new crucible maps and modes as well as gunsmith rep and weapon testing.

Seem like a lot more than we though are going into this update. Here are some of the major changes from this article:

- The Elder Cipher will no longer drop upon completion of killing Skolas. They say the "Exotic items offered with the Elder Cipher will now have a chance to drop from the Prison of Elders Treasure Chest." No word on whether they only drop on the 35, or the others.

- Moments of Triumphs have been extended to September 14, 2015 at 11:59 PM PDT.

- Incompleted bounties will be abandoned, and any exotic bounty will be auto completed, and be wait for you at their respected vendor.

- They are changing the leveling system but making the max 34, and 40 is going to be the max for the Taken King.

- They are getting rid of the House of Wolves hunt patrols to get ready for Oryx.

- Rift and Mayhem are going to be available as well as the new maps.

Also Mark Noseworthy tweeted out that we will be able to earn rep with Banshee-44 and field test his weapons.

Xur is in the reef in his usual hangout. He is selling the Saint-14, Khepri Sting, Obsidian Mind, Patience and Time, and Exotic Helmet Engram.

Finally got the Saint-14 and Obsidian Mind. Now I can try out the Juju + Mind, and blind people in my bubble. I still think the bubble should do damage to people that enter it or have a perk for it.

It's op enough as is, in pve anyway. Saint 14 especially turns it into far and away the best super.

I'm not going to lie, I am pretty hyped about the Taken King. I may, though, be even more hyped about the upcoming patch on Tuesday. Maybe this is the hype talking, but I feel as though Bungie learned from their mistakes in Year One and instead of just poo-pooing it away and going about business as usual.

I really like that on Tuesday, everyone will be able to test out the new Crucible maps and you can start gaining rep from Banshee-44 (the Gunsmith) from testing out field weapons. It's like a massive try before you buy (even though I've purchased) to entice people to pick the expansion up.

I played about an hour last night for the first time in a few weeks. Dang it, the hype is starting to build. I know I will end up putting a lot of time into the Taken King. Son of a b****

The gunsmith thing actually has me the most hyped. That and the shader/emblem vaults.
