The gunsmith thing actually has me the most hyped. That and the shader/emblem vaults.

Agreed that is what I can't wait to do. Finally something new to do on patrol/crucible/dailies.

Playing this game for the first time via Xbox Live demo and to my surprise I really like it. I liked the pace of it, kind of slow, kinda like an action/adventure, exploration rpg, and very challenging which can be frustrating at times but still fun.
I don't get all the hate for this game? I like it way better than Black Ops 3, in which I uninstalled the beta after only a few rounds.
I will probably cop this game once the price drops to around $30-$40.

So if you have an unfinished exotic bounty let's say Thorn for example. They are just gonna give you a Thorn? Does anyone know for sure?

That's the way it is spelled out, if you have an exotic bounty (with no conditions) then that exotic bounty will be completed. Kind of odd, but I guess they couldn't insert an exotic bounty in it's current stage into the "questification" framework, so they had a choice: reset them completely or finish them. They might not have even had that choice, I bet year one exotic bounties are getting binned and not reworked.

Elder ciphers, which have similar quest paths, are being completed and won't return.

Even though they re completed, you still have to turn them in, so if it was a matter of not wanting them to give year two weapons they are kind of still in the same boat.
