I downloaded the 17 gig update last week. I am getting an application update that seems stuck. I have been waiting all day to play and now this...

Bungie has done a phenomenon job with not just The Taken King but Year 2 in general. Destiny feels like a totally different game now.

Now that were are back to green gear for the time being I feel that urge and addiction to get better gear.

EDIT: Also the numerous quests that can be done is overwhelming. There's the main story but other small quests on different planets too...

I dont like that my newly acquired taken king purple gear gets quickly outclassed by lower level blue taken king gear. I get so happy to see purple again and two minutes latter I get a blue that gives better light....

Just got awesome legs...blue legs I just found are better. And one level lower. Idk. btw dont waste your legendary marks on Rahool's nonsense engrams. Better off buying faction vendor stuff.

Can't relate to this enough. I haven't really played Destiny in 5 months. It took me seconds to catch the MMO bug again. So many quests. So many weapons and armor. I haven't even started the story.

I was given the Red Death from the deceptive Engram. It was literally the gun I'd always wanted.

You can use that high lvl blue stuff to infuse purples

If you have Destiny. I think you can but TTK solo. If not yiu have to but it all.

As was mentioned that blue stuff is great for enduring. Got my reward pulse rifle up from 200 to 252 already.

I did the same thing with that gun, I think mine is at 253 currently.
love the sound of that pulse rifle too. I have a hand cannon at 259 that I found(well got from the Vanguard package) that is my highest attack weapon currently. got 265 defense boots form DO package.

up to 256 light currently on my hunter.

I know bungie said there is no weekly limit on legendary marks but the more I learn about how to actually get them, the more bamboozled I feel about it.

And on the using a blue to upgrade a purple, I dont want to waste the marks.

Fair enough. I really wanted to get close to 240 so I can realistically do the Daily. Figured using 3 marks to get most my stuff up is cheaper than saving to buy a couple big pieces.

I went with the reward auto rifle and hand cannon (I've beaten Oryx with 2 chars). The Auto Rifle is at 242, the hand cannon is at 220. Got a 250 void and a 244 solar sidearm and rocking the sword as my heavy. Overall, my Warlock is up to 235. Still weak at helmet (227), chest (242), and artifact (217). Gonna do some vanguard strikes tomorrow and see what I can get. Will probably do all the post main story missions on my titan too; gotta get more marks.

For subclasses, stormcaller is okay. Honestly, I'll probably still run sunsinger mostly, and stick to using voidwalker/stormcaller when it's void/arc burn. It'll also depend on what year 2 exotics I get first. But the titan hammer? That thing is legit. Took out Oryx by flinging it in his face. It wrecks guys, I love it.

This might help some of you you in the future, my PS4 seems to download faster when I start the download then put it in rest mode. Usually the DLtime will say 3 to 6 hours on a large file, I put it in rest mode and check back in a hour and its done.

Mattersfoot, sorry I did not join last night. Was trying to see everything new and the tower and was only doing 2 missions. Next time I see you on I will send an invite.
