Well Destiny, your claws are once again dug into me, but this time I feel like I am playing a different game. The characters feel fleshed out, they feel alive, they feel like...well...characters. Nathan Fillion CRUSHES his role as Cayde-6, Lance Riddick and Morla Gorrondona [Eris Morn] do a great job as well. I've enjoyed the banter between these characters as well as the dialog between these guys and my ghost. I played for about 5 hours last night and I'm so ready to jump back in.

I hit level 40 and was able to get a some purple stuff from packages. I have a Vanguard chest piece, New Monarchy boots and a nice Vanguard hand cannon. Currently sitting around 212 light on my Hunter. Can't wait to get at this with my Titan and Warlock.

The Taken King was well worth the wait. I'm really enjoying the story missions thus far and I'm chasing loot again. I only got to play for about 2 hours yesterday and didn't even get to finish the story but every couple seconds loot was dropping and often it was better than something I had just gotten. For me they've recaptured what my first few weeks at launch was like. I wish I was back in school right now so I could give the finger to class and just play this game.

I started a fresh hunter last night, used that Spark of Light to get to level 25 and started going through the story from the beginning. The new Quest system really makes the vanilla story feel fresh again. Just the simple act of getting your story missions from the Vanguards and Speaker makes the story feel so much more alive.

Really enjoying this expansion so far and anyone that left during Year 1 you owe it to yourself to come back and play this again. It's a totally different experience now and IMHO this is what Destiny should've been like when the game launched last year.

I hopped on with my warlock and was enthralled with the story and the cinematics! The game feels fresh! I am almost at level 40 and already have some legendary pieces that I can't equip until 40. Upgrading weapons, the exotics that we will try, Cayde 6 is brilliant, and restructuring my warlock for maximum carnage is going to be insane.
They will need to have more ways to get legendary marks. I have none and u need them to upgrade the gear. I'm having a blast! I think I am going to pay the extra 20 for the collectors edition items as well.

Lastly my friends list last night had 26 people all on Destiny. That's the most I have ever seen on my friends list.

I have a quick question. I want to start a fresh hunter and use the spark to get to 25. Will I have the full gunslinger and blade-dancer subclasses available?

hey all,

Hope eveyone is enjoying the game. I finally have my titan @ lvl 40 with 210. Do i now do lvl 36 strikes to get my light up for better gear? I want to at least get 1 of my toons to complete weekly and nightfall this week. Thanks for the help

Highest I've seen is a 241 light on Reddit. I am not sure if there's a cap.

290 is the light cap I beleive. You can keep "buying exotics and infuse them into purple gear (crazy expensive, but could be done). If you do the faction quest you get a 290 class item.

I've seen some guys into the 260-270 range and I'm around 255 on my hunter.

I haven't been following any TTK info. Got my Stormcaller and hit level 40, played some Crucible and ran through a lot of the TK story. How can I get some exotics now?

Speaking of the Amanda Holloway exotic quest. Just an FYI you don't need to get kills with TLW. You just need to have it in your primary slot. All crucible kills could towards the first step.

if you also unequip it if you're having a bad game, the deaths won't count. So it only counts if you have it equipped.
