Love Iron Banner but am somewhat disappointed with the rewards especially since the sidearm and the boots dropped to me even before I reached the level to purchase them. I'm not complaining about that per se, but if I'm going to do all of that grinding I think the stuff needs to be worth it. The sidearm is only 280 attack and the boots are 280. Although I did see an upgrade spot referencing needles, so I wonder if it can get higher than most other things.

You can infuse them, IB stuff never really dropped at high level (with the exception of late in each release cycle when they upped the drops to levels people already had).

The needle is to reroll exotic armors (change the stats and perks that are random).

IB drops levels are random and can be much higher than 280. Saw a 294 cloak drop, my own was 282. Bungie wants players to obtain things through drops more than purchases as they have stated. It seems like most people are getting about 4 IB gear drops as the progress through to level 5. I gathered that from a few Reddit threads. I infused my IB cloak to 300, not as good as my 303 raid cloak, but better than my 297 Dead Orbit cloak.

Also, any ideas using Hunter with VoidWalker to get the top score. I rolled through the Banner the first day with Titan using Striker subclass and hit top score three times. With my Hunter it's hard as hell. I've gotten very close but one person always gets at least one more kill or captures 2 more zones. My top match with my Hunter was 27 kills but I still came in 2nd place. Trying to finish up that Bounty and get the additional 25 Legendary Marks. I switch between Last Word and Suros AR 41 Auto. Probably should have gone with the AR 45 since the Impact is higher but the rate of Fire is a little slower I dunno. I just feel like I'm on the verge of completing that bounty where you have to have top score and level 4. I did it with the Titan on Tuesday LOL. But I've been stuck since then.

With the Titan I was running with Zhalo Super Cell. Maybe I'll move it over. I really want Monte Carlo though.

This is pretty much what I was getting at. Before not doing the Nightfall put you at a disadvantage only because you wouldn't have the xp buff. Now that there's no xp buff and we have 3oC doing the Nightfall boils down to doing a strike at a higher difficulty, with a larger number of strange coins as a possible reward being the only difference.

I mean, you can still use 3ofC on the Nightfall. 2 exotic opportunities. And you have a higher legendary drop rate than the 36 strike.

Again, I think they should just add automatic marks to doing it. Nightfalls are easier now than they were pre-ttk with checkpoints now and no going back to orbit. Heck, this week's you really only have to do 2 small fights before the boss. The hardest part was shutting off lightning bolts.

Nightfalls were waaay easier before TTK, the strikes themselves were easier. You aren't punished if your fireteam dies, but that doesn't make them easier, just more convenient if you die.

I was afraid you'd say that. I'm just so attached to my current strategy with VoidWalker. I love the shadestep. But I'll go back to Blade Dancer. I've had top of match in previous Iron Banner's with that so I'll do that just to get the bounty done.

Really wish there was a system where Randoms didn't get matched up vs fire teams of 4+. Two and Three man fireteams aren't that bad but more than that and it's a shot show 9 times out of 10.

....sigh looking at the Chaperone and First Curse quest lines, im not doing them anytime soon. Im not good at crucible, and the only time I'm decent is when I'm using my MIDA. Seems like Bungie is trying to cater to major pvp guys with kinda exclusive exotics. Which is fine, I got plenty other cool exotics.


But I still need a y2 Bones of Eao and MIDA.

I think I'm done with them too. I used to be decent with TLW but post 2.0 I've gone away from crucible and trying to get back into it with TLW is futile. Maybe in regular Crucible but not IB. I know you can still use TLW effectively but I'm clearly not skilled enough with it.

For chaperone just put on last word before a win, I'm up to like 20% just from what little iron banner I have played (not even to level 3)

For first curse, you just need 7 precision hand cannon kills with the hand cannon they give, no idea how hard that is but if nothing else find someone that will boost you
