Hung Jury wrecks in PVP too because it is so easy to get head shots with the stability. Also when you are landing head shots it knocks the other players head back and makes it tough for them to aim.

293/4 is a good for the raid. You should have any problems running it. Can't speak for others, but all the people I ran the raid with were cool and willing to teach someone new what to do. Imo light really isn't that important as it was before TTK. The raid is mainly about communication and mechanics. Having a high impact sniper is important. HMG is also nice to have for the Ogres and Echo of Oryx.I, too, recommend Hung Jury. Second favorite scout rifle behind VOC. Although I got a random drop, a Herja-D pulse rifle, that I actually use more. 36-round magazines and precisely stable. Reloads extremely quick when I empty the magazine. That said, part of the reason I use it more is because of its 293 attack rating instead of 280. I need to upgrade the Hung Jury but getting blues >280 is extremely rare for me.
I've completely stagnated on the light level front. At 293/4 now and I can't get it any higher. The grind has just become too overwhelming to get decent blue drops. I'd have to be playing 5+ hours daily, I think, to continue upward. I suppose I have nothing left to do but get through the raid, although since I haven't done it yet, most people don't want someone without experience.
The majority of my drops are in the 260 and 270 range. I'm not sure where people find stuff to infuse to get all their gear above 300 light. I can't get any antiquated runes, either, which is hurting my ability to finish the TOM quest. This doesn't feel all that different from the "forever 29 days." I can only hope I get to raid at some point and it provides the relief I need.
It rare getting gear above 295+, but it does feel great when you finally get one. All of my gear that around 295-300 I got from engram. It just that it a real grind to get it, and your just better off running the raid for gear. I would recommend you start on another character, and get then around 290.
The jumping puzzle are what really take up a lot of time in the raid.
Also make sure you don't have the ToM quest where you have to get items from the raid. The items you need counts as drops. Made that mistake when I first ran the raid.Last edited by TrustedDegree4; 10-19-2015, 08:25 PM.Comment

At 293/294 you're only going to advance much more raiding. I got to 297 before raiding, but that was with a 310 black spindle. Really, you only need to be 295 or so for Oryx himself, and not even that for the rest. And at 293, you're almost certainly going to get something that'll bump you up.

I switch my weapons a lot for KF than the other raids, just about every phase gets different weapons.
Start: Raid pulse, raid shotty, raize lighter (all taken, all fairly close, pulse has firefly which is great with the eye things acolytes spawn)
Rune door: Raid pulse, 1k yard stare, raize lighter (pulse is still great here, and the shorter ranges make it work better than hung jury IMO, stare for knights and wizards, sword for when a knight needs to get got in a hurry, have 2 sword knights surprise you on the totems and you'll be glad it's there)
Warpriest: Raid pulse, spindle, ruin wake (Still dealing with shorter ranges, usually in middle, pulse is just better for when a knight gets a little too close, spindle because DPS, ruin wake because I haven't had much chance to try raid MG since I just got it today)
Golgoroth: Hung Jury, spindle, ruin wake (Hung Jury does a lot better with sitting back out of range of acolytes and firefly does the rest, spindle for DPS, ruin wake almost never gets used here, mostly just an OH **** weapon for a rogue acolyte)
Daughters/oryx: Touch of malice, raid sniper, ruin wake (Touch of Malice is obvious, sniper I was trying out, probably go back to the stare since it's not any better, ruin wake really only gets used for oryx shades so that will most definitely get replaced by raid MG next run)
This was helpful to type out, need to get hung jury, raid pulse, spindle, raid MG all to 310 and should have the stuff to infuse. That gives all my weapons 310 for hard mode friday.

I haven't been getting the love as far as exotics lately. For the past two weeks every engram I got was a duplicate of something I already had, and I haven't gotten any weapon drops. And then last night came. Got an engram to drop from a taken event on Venus, and another from the Dreadnaught. Went back to the tower and put on my all my highest light level stuff to get to 301. Got Monte Carlo...and a 310 Telesto. Happi-ness

Lol, I only switch from which ever raid primary I am using to touch of malice for the daughters. Most of the time I roll with raid primary, Black Spindle and Qulliems.Moderator

The Cabal Champion on the Dreadnaught seems to drop a lot of exoctics. Got 4th Horseman from him and just got Stag from him last night (although I already had this). I wish they wouldn't keep dropping you things you already have and dropping things for other classes while you are playing with a different one. Like don't drop me a Warlock helmet I already have when I'm playing with my Titan.Comment

I was sitting on an exotic engram in the vault. Needed to edge my titan to the next cryptarch level. So I used it. Got a Hawkmoon (290 bleh), but it was fun to use again in PvP. I forgot all about it when I started doing ToO and running with TLW. Easily one of the better year 2 hand cannons.Moderator

I switch a little. The first part I run Hung Jury, Invective, and an arc rocket launcher. Totems it's Hung Jury or Zhalo and eirene rr4 with a rocket launcher. Warpriest is Hung Jury or the Pulse, spindle, and the raid mg. Sisters is HJ, Spindle, MG. Oryx is HJ or Zhalo, Eirene, and the mg.
Spindle is great for the middle bosses, but when I'm in situations where I'm not just teeing off on a boss (or oryx where you don't get crits), a lot of legendaries are better imo. Eirene rr4 and 1000 yd in particular.

Looks like the "no time to Explain" exotic mission has been opened up.

What about the "fix" to quiver? Removed extra shots. How does that pass as a fix. Basically they disabled it. Good luck to you fools who need void kills for missions/quests. At least disable it for PvP if that is the best you can do. Not that that is any better. I swear Bungie is like the Redskins. One step forward, seven back.
