Congrats Jones!

This is gonna sound like whining, but so be it. I've beat HM Kings Fall 4x and still have yet to receive a primary weapon drop. My alt is still waiting on any kind of chest to drop, and finally last night I was 2 for 2 getting helmets to drop. Harrowed for my main hunter and regular (305) for my alt Warlock. Will run my second hunter through sometime this week I presume, get it out of the way before ToO.

Friday evening if any of you guys would like to run a raid, I think my partner will be in ToO so I should have some free time.

The higher light nightfall drops were because the new max is like 320 or something. Not 310 like it was. I haven't done it this week but last week I got a 305 shotgun.

The thing I'm starting to realize is RNG is set to a specific amount of weapons IMO. Like I've literally gotten the SAME weapons OVER and OVER again. I thought it was supposed to drop things based on what you have? I keep getting Apple of Dischord, that crucible shotgun, an answering chord, not like the others scout rifle and that's literally the only weapons I get outside the raid.

Hell, my 1st raid run I got 2 scout rifles from Oryx. 2 tho. The drops are really the only thing that keep me from playing this game consistently lol. But I'm probably gonna try the hard raid this week.

Thanks man. I too was a little disappointed to not get a HM primary, but Oryx dropped me a helm, chest, and arms. I have had a lot of luck with 320 gear and weapons, when the rest of the crew hasn't, so I cannot complain.

I am always looking to Raid, so maybe we can get something done this weekend. I will probably play a little Trials too.

I haven't gotten a raid primary since week 1 of the normal mode raid.

Also have not gotten raid helmets for any of my characters normal or hard.
will probably run at least 1 HM run tonight, hoping for something new.

I've gotten 5 hand cannons, 2 pulse rifles, 1 auto, and 1 helmet from Oryx. I've gotten lucky in other parts, but I've kept 1 of those weapons and the helmet, though I don't use the helmet because my light would drop.

Last night did through Golgie before my normal group shut it down. Totems was the hardest part for us for whatever reason. Got 2 ghost shells (317 & 302) and the fusion Rifle (303) from the totems chest and moldering shards from everything else. Hopefully rng is sweet to me tonight.

Hardest part of the hard raid now might be warpriest, Oryx is longer and fiddlier, but warpriest will stomp you in a split second even if you are doing things right.

Could not agree more. We spent probably 90 minutes on him last night in our first run, myriad of reason, but mostly people dying at weird times. Getting killed by Yellow Knights, dying with the brand, not getting in the protection bubbles in the middle (or because the bubbles were in BFE places. Warpriest and Oryx are the places where even a single death can have domino affect that eventually leads to just calling for a wipe. We've finished Golgoroth with 3 people, Daughters with 1 person (with ToM), but those fights if people start dying its pretty much a wrap.

I haven't had too much problems with warpriest at all. We just machine gun the yellow knights down (in my experience, people sit on their heavy too much) and black spindle him. It's taken more than 2 totems just twice for me on hard.

The thing that bugs my most with lfg groups is people just have dumb set ups. It's a void nightfall. Why are titans running sunbreaker? Actually frustrating when a bubble could be useful, but guys are obsessed with throwing hammers.

All I do are PUG where I help my friend who streams. Having a set group makes it all very easy.

I'm probably gonna go the PUG route with other first timers at some point, though honestly, i'm only doing the raid for Touch of Malice and that awesome taken Ghost. Thats all i want.

I may be in the minority here, but I'm really not a fan of the no revives mechanic in hard mode raids. To me, it doesn't encourage teamwork, it encourages wiping. And when you have long fights like this, there can be fluky deaths that send the whole team reeling. For example, more than once I have died instantly upon being pulled into the bubble. Granted, I'm frustrated with coming sooooo close tonight, but I've never liked the no revives mechanic. Even if the rest of the team can rally, the last person is stuck there just watching for 5 to 10 minutes. But I loved the aspect of Skolas where when someone dies you have juggle the taint while getting over the third person to revive them rather than wiping.

Well, decided to dive back in. Really loving all of the changes they made with marks and everything. Trying to absorb everything and get my light up quickly. Sitting around 225 right now.

Any tips besides running strikes for engrams for getting better gear efficiently?

To piggy-back off what Tocco said, add in the Court of Oryx. Even if you just hang around while other people use their runes, you can still pick up a number of engrams and other gear. Though if you have a stock of your own runes to use, by all means - that does get you the better stuff (out of the chest).

I tend to favor the Court only because it is quicker than going through full strikes, of course as I said, it may require having the runes to use. You also can't use 3OC as well with the Court because of the cool down time, whereas with strikes you can pop one for each.

I managed to nudge my way up to 296 because I finally got a Ghost higher than 280. I guess at this point I have nothing left but to do the raid to get to 300. I can't get a primary higher than 294 and only one 300 piece (artifact).

I feel you on that, though not in re: King's fall. I ran the Vault of Glass hard mode ~dozen times and never got any of the hard mode weapons. No mytho, timepiece, etc. Took me six tries just to get the helmet. Really frustrating at the time. Of course now it doesn't matter, but I hope I have better luck with the new raid.

I like the no revive for hard raid, it keeps them from doing something like short enrage timers which would be faaaar more annoying.
