        Re: Destiny

Went through the raid for the first time last night. Only made it to Golgoroth though as something kept killing us making the tablet wipe us. Got the ghost shell out of it at 302. (Which I wanted anyway)

Hopefully the guys I ran with will run again to finish it. If not, guess ill wait till reset and start over.

          Re: Destiny

Honestly this raid is significantly easier than VOG and Crota. It's not hard at all. Warpreist is easy af on hard. Always beat him in 3 sequences. Golgoroth is probably the easiest part. Just use the 1 bubble strategy. Daughters takes no time and Oryx is super easy.

I ran it as a 304/305. Guys were like you know it's hard raid I'm like bro I'm good. Was doing more DPS on Golgoroth and Daughters lol. They were dying during the beginning. I only died twice on Oryx because I wasn't used to holding a platform on hard. Killing the night is hardest but I started tethering to make sure I could hit him easier without getting shot. We don't do the no knight strategy. All in all it takes an hour with the right group.

Sidenote. Playing trials and I got to 8-0 with some LFG guys. Twice. Lost both 3-5 then 4-5 on a botched super. Guy told me he snipped a golden gun. I pop my super and get blasted by a GG lol. The rewards aren't even as good as last year neither are the guns but I want that emblem for bragging rights. But all in all I like thorn isn't there lol. Bad Juju is king. I haven't been killed by a primary except hawksaw but nobody is running handcannons which is the exact opposite of last trials. I did start off using Hawkmoon but I was running shotgun flank so I upped my sensitivity so I switched to Juju. Invective is beastly. Any full auto shotgun is beastly. You can just melt guys away. Luckily I got party crasher to drop from winning a couple of inferno rumbles

From trials I got the helmet, fusion and sniper. I just want that scout or pulse rifle.
I max out at 308/309 and my Juju is 306 so levels aren't that serious.

What parts of he Crota raid would you classify as harder than this raid? Hard is a subjective term so I am interested in your opinion.

Lol coming in here saying the raid is easy AF. As Rob mentioned, that's a subjective opinion. Good for you and your team that it's so easy for you but this is arguably the most complex raid so far in Destiny IMO. VoG was hard back in the day due to the levels

Crota, and VOG somewhat, were glitchier, not harder.

Golgorath and warpriest get much simpler once you understand it. If everyone has black spindles or sleepers or warpriest, you'll probably never have to do a third rotation.

Is amazing how much the Spindle and Malice make certain parts of the raid exponentially easier. Once you get a full team with Spindles on Warpriest/Golgy or a team full of ToM on Daughters and Oryx, it's ridiculous how much more damage you can do.

I've got a couple friends who didn't see why the Spindle was such a big deal, and certainly didn't want to grind Lost to Light. I tried to convince them, and eventually helped them through it. It was totally worth it, as they ran a number of raids with us after.

Yeah. Spindle, to me anyway, isn't all that great except in boss fights where you can tee off. Before I had ToM, I still didn't use spindle for Oryx; not criticals on his chest means I'm using a different gun haha

Spindle has the same utility that Black Hammer had. Pure DPS. Nothing beats it.

Personally for warpriest, I find I do just as good damage numbers, if not better, using triple tap 1000yard stare. Triple tap gives me 5 or 6 extra shots, then I can unload heavy. Spindle I always run out of heavy and special and end up using primary and tanking DPS. Probably even better, if I could get fuel to infuse it up (only ever gotten one HMG and one rocket from raid), would be that I could run sleeper with that stare.

Yes, but Black Hammer didn't take up an exotic slot and had unlimited ammo. Black Spindle is good, but besides Warpriest, Golgie, and a couple strike bosses, you're better off using a legendary sniper (1000 yd or Eirene) and using a sword or primary exotic. Or the sleeper, which a lot of people actually do on Warpriest. Which is fine, great even. I love that there isn't 1 weapon that always works.

Honestly I'm glad there is a bit more weapon variety now. Y1, not having Icebreaker or Gjallahorn was a pretty huge detriment, or at least put you way behind everyone else. It feels a bit more balanced now in that you can go a bunch of different ways with your loadout and still be fine. There isn't really a go-to gun, which allows for more diverse arrangements.

If only Bungie hadn't decided to completely kill your ability to get weapon parts. Now the reality is, without a stockpile, you can only upgrade sporadically, which limits your ability to be flexible in terms of your loadout. I really don't get their decisions sometimes.
