Wow, this looks great! It's right up my alley as I loved the 2D castlevania games and I like the souls series as well.Comment

Re: Dark Souls II
best buy just had the collectors edition for the PS3 on sale for $49.99, with my gamers club unlocked it came to $39.99. Well worth it!! The statue is awesome, a lot bigger than I was expectingPlaystation Network:That70s_Gamer

Re: Dark Souls II
Anyone planning on getting this for ps4? And is it strange that I'm more excited about the ps4 upgrade than I am for Bloodborne?Comment

Re: Dark Souls II
After making progress in Bloodborne and loving it this upgraded version is on my list.Comment

Re: Dark Souls II
Same here. I played DS2 for a bit but got frustrated and put it down. I've finally learned to appreciate these games now that I'm making good progress with Bloodborne. Me and my buddy are both grabbing this when it comes out for sure.Comment

Re: Dark Souls II
Is this going to be available digitally on PS4? Strange that there was no pre order for it.

Re: Dark Souls II
I got the new version on DSII. Started a cleric build. Already frustrated once I hit the inside of the castle..lol. This game. The cleric is awesome because the mace is a powerful weapon, but it takes forever to swing and you can get mobbed really easy.
I built up some strength and got my faith to 18. Also took a break for a day or so. Trying to get past the same area over and over can become frustrating.Comment

Re: Dark Souls II
I started over and went to a Sorcerer. And Wow..I should have done this the whole time.
I got almost back to where my cleric build was in 2 hours. So much easier it's ridiculous. The game is so hard that any advantage you can get is worth it.
So if you are really struggling and good at rolling, try a Sorcerer. It fits my play style perfectly.Comment

Re: Dark Souls II
Well most folks have probably moved on to Bloodborne, but I just got DS2 on PS3.
New to the series, and loving the challenge. There is something so addictive about the game. The first night I got it I immediately regretted the decision, thought the gameplay sucked, was frustrated. Then took a break and came back and watched a few tutorials which helped and started to understand how things work. It really did take me a while, I've started 3-4 new characters and stopped them due to bad decisions I had made. I also didn't know that estus flasks renewed when you rest at a bonfire, I just assumed they were one use only, so I didn't use them at first wanting to save them.
Now I am a knight and have already taken down the last giant boss and the pursuer- funny story about that one.
So I was playing in the area right outside where the pursuer flies in to fight you when I saw my first white summon sign. So a guy hops into my game (or I hop into his? not sure) and I head up to fight the boss, thinking what the heck. Anyways, its a close fight and we are both near dead, when the pursuer spears the other guy, killing him, literally a split second before I get the killing blow in. Lol, poor guy....but I was happy
Right now I'm building a melee knight, leveling up my club (it has an A scaling with strength) and it is wailing on folks. I watched a lot of tutorials on the early stages but now I am going out on my own, without any help......wish me luck!Last edited by ESPNdeportes; 05-16-2015, 06:39 PM."You can not ensure success, but you can deserve it." - John Quincy Adams
